Offensive MVP goes to the scheduler.
The scheduler allowed for 7 charitable opponents that allowed our terrible offense to score at least some points, and against 3 really weak opponents - score more than 30 points.
This MVP scheduler may have to continue to work hard because the other less charitable 5 teams are permanent fixtures on the BC schedule, and at least 4 of their offensive architects appear to be going nowhere.
In all seriousness I thought bright spots for the future were SO Tommy Sweeney and the True FR OL Elijah Johnson.
I like J Smith, but he had a combined Zero receiving yards against VA Tech, Syracuse, Louisville and FSU. He lit up UMASS, Buffalo, UConn and Wagner. He had a nice game against NC State. I understand Smith's uneven performance is probably 90% on our terrible QB, but Sweeney was arguably much more important in our 2 respectable victories.
