Was there for that too. That was a great night.

I still vote USC > VT > Clemson.

With a honorable mention to that monsoon Wake game when Ryan came off the bench in the second half to replace Shredder and led that fantastic comeback. Loses points because, you know, Wake.

I was also a fan of the BC/FSU game in 2009 when Gameday was there and Herzy announced he was cancer free.
I prefer hockey.

The best part of this game was never televised - Herzlich celebrating in the south endzone after they played the alma mater. I know you were there for that.

If somehow we get a huge, one-off upset tomorrow (which would have to involve a massive gambling scandal), are we actually worse off as a program? I just think a win like that would give Daz at least another year.

Not to be outdone by Herzy warming up the crowd empty stadium prior to the NC State game.

Was that the game where they let him address the crowd over the PA?

No, we're not worse off because he's not getting fired. They just extended a coach who went 0-16 0-18 in league play. Snap out of that dream.

Yes, I was one of the few to witness it. It was really sad.

Yes, but I think the Weber State game intro where Herzy made his return was more sad.

Unpopular opinion: if we win Daz may stay for years, and may DESERVE to stay for years.

There's still a chance that Daz can be a great coach at BC. Saw glimpses of it in '13 and '14, just haven't seen any sign of it for the last season and a half...

Anyone who thinks we will tomorrow:

(a) cares too much;
(ii) has short term memory to have forgotten VT and/if/but
(gamma) is just outright delusional.

What happened on Friday? I was climbing an apple tree in Wisconsin, a real beauty and there was this one, really speckled-red beauty way out on a skinny limb. I'm too old and heavy to try that silliness anymore so I climbed to a safe spot and shook and shook, and then it fell. Whoo hoo!! What a great weekend.

Anyway, enough about my super fun long Columbus Day weekend celebrating the fall. How'd we do? Should I start caring now?

Best BC games I have attended:

1. Beating Clemson on Dunbar blocked xp

2. USC

3. ND the year after Gordon's kick

3. Bama at Foxboro, only because it makes me a hardo

4. TOB's first win vs a good WV team

5. BC shutting out cuse with Mamula

6. Beating ND on a Saturday night after Green fumbled late.

6. Beating Miami finally in ice's last home game

7. Stunning Wake in the rain with Ryan

8. BYU in ot, after they missed two late fg's and we intercepted the ball in ot.

Worst:

1. WV, week after ND

2. Cuse. Diamond Ferri

3. 4 plays from the 1 against ND

4. Miami. St. Pierre int game

5. losing to Navy on a missed fg, after their white wide receiver who later transferred to BC torched our secondary

6. Miami after being up 27-0

7. Miami double ot

8. Northwestern season opener. I knew we were in trouble with Spaz.

The crazy interception was the St Pierre pass to Read that bounced off his knee to a D-lineman and then Ed Reed took it away from and went to the house to turn a 11-7 game into a 18-7 game. And the marine quartermaster sat Will Green for something. That was probably the best Miami team ever.

The 27-0 blown lead was a different game.
