to the poster that reported this thread as proof that walrus is a dickhole and noted his unhealthy obsession with this topic, i could not agree more. however, i will not delete this thread because you have a problem with the fact that walrus is more attracted to the lambert meadowlands trophy than he is to women.

his attraction to awards that don't matter is something we all have to deal with or, maybe more interestingly, hijack to suit our own needs.

Big week for BC in the standings, jumping up to #3 in the only known weekly L-M rankings (these!). Possibility of really making some headway here in the weeks ahead!!! Otherwise, a bad week for Northeastern Football in general, as L-M eligible teams went 3-5 against the rest of the nation.

Week 5 L-M matchups:
- Boston College defeats Buffalo (35-23)

Week 5 Standings
3-1 (1-0) - Navy: L to Air Force
3-1 (1-1) - Army: BYE
3-2 (2-0) - Boston College: W over Buffalo
3-2 (1-0) - Pittsburgh: W over Marshall
3-2 (1-1) - Penn State: W over Minnesota
3-2 (0-2) - Temple : W over SMU
2-3 (1-0) - Syracuse: L to Notre Dame
2-3 (0-0) - Rutgers: L to Ohio State
2-3 (0-2) - UConn: L to Houston
1-3 (1-1) - Buffalo: L to BC
1-4 (0-1) - UMass: L to Tulane

Week 6 L-M Key Matchups:
Thursday:
- Temple @ Memphis (AAC implications)
Friday:
- #5 Clemson @ BC
Saturday:
- (an undefeated?!) Maryland @ Penn State
- GT @ Pitt (Coastal implications)
- #6 Houston @ Navy
- #4 Michigan @ Rutgers

Just when things were starting to look up for BC, it all seems to have come crushing down. We get within reach of Navy before getting crushed by Clemson while Navy beats #5 Houston. These are the types of things that the L-M voters pay attention to. Anyway, still a lot of season left...

Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania teams have jumped back into the fray, with both Penn State and Pitt coming up with big wins.

Week 6 L-M matchups:
- none

Week 6 Standings
4-1 (1-0) - Navy: W over Houston
4-2 (1-0) - Pittsburgh: W over GT
4-2 (1-1) - Penn State: W over Maryland
3-2 (1-1) - Army: L to Duke
3-3 (2-0) - Boston College: L to Clemson
3-3 (0-2) - UConn: W over Cincinnati
3-3 (0-2) - Temple : L to Memphis
2-4 (1-0) - Syracuse: L to Wake Forest
2-4 (0-0) - Rutgers: L to Michigan
1-4 (1-1) - Buffalo: L to Kent State
1-5 (0-1) - UMass: L to Old Dominion (ouch)

Week 7 L-M Key Matchups:
- UConn (3-3) at USF (5-1): is this the pointless rivalry game?
- VT (5-1) @ Syracuse (2-4): will the Orange lose worse than we did?
- Illinois (1-4) @ Rutgers (2-4): is Rutgers outclassed by the entire BIG, or just those teams with a pulse?

Just because BC was off, doesn't mean the rest of the Northeast is anyone at all reading these posts or is it just me is! Some good action I could write anything I want here, my own personal private confessional, couldn't I.

Week 7 L-M matchups:
- none

Week 7 Standings:
5-2 (1-0) - Pittsburgh: W over UVa
4-1 (1-0) - Navy: postponed
4-2 (1-1) - Penn State: BYE
4-2 (1-1) - Army: W over Lafayette (fcs)
4-3 (0-2) - Temple : W over UCF
3-3 (2-0) - Boston College: BYE
3-4 (1-0) - Syracuse: W over VT
3-4 (0-2) - UConn: L to USF
2-5 (0-0) - Rutgers: L to Illinois
1-5 (1-1) - Buffalo: L to Ball State
1-6 (0-1) - UMass: L to Louisiana Tech

Week 8 L-M Key Matchups:
- Syracuse at Boston College: the L-M Match-up of the Week!!!
- Memphis (5-1) @ Navy (4-1): critical game in the Midshipmen's quest to repeat the title.
- #2 Ohio State (6-0) at Penn State (4-2): would be nice for a L-M team to represent on the national stage, except this is Penn State...
- UConn (3-4) at UCF (3-3): is this the pointless rivalry game?
- Rutgers(2-5) at Minnesota (4-2): is Rutgers more of an embarrassment to the BIG than we are to the ACC?

in fairness, you'd likely get more interest in this thread if you showed the group the trophy itself
