The parking prices are all out of whack. It's not that hard to fix the tailgating scene, someone with some balls just needs to do it

i will say the lower brighton parking is top 5 for bates' accomplishments (along with scheduling stanford 4 decades out, mizzou, hosting focus groups, & using fireworks for night games). $150 for 7 games isn't bad at all.

My Top 5 Bates accomplishments:
- 2 for 1 pricing in the upper endzone sections
- Single game parking options
- Scheduling Ohio State (even though I'm not convinced the game will ever happen)
- Red bandana game
- Overall attitude improvement in game day staff (TeamOPS, BCPD, concession workers, etc)

Nothing officially has been determined/communicated. I'd expect such a discussion after the FB season. But, if I was Bates and my contract status was publicly discussed in a Globe hit-piece and I didn't receive an extension immediately after that... I'd be concerned. That said, BC doesn't give a shit about sports... so, I would feel I still had a chance to keep the job if I could land a donor to put his name on the IPF.

He also didn't let the Fenway Group strongarm him into playing Yukon at Fenway this year - but he never should have scheduled Yukon in the first place...

the fact that he agreed to the yukon game is dog shit. not playing the game at fenway is only putting whipped cream on top of that dog shit

Other than marching around with his own Secret Service, what does Bates do all day? He hired Addazio because he was too lazy to vet other candidates and Fogler hired Christian. He's not fundraising and is obviously not negotiating with the City.

I'd take a retread in a heartbeat. Both Marrone and Schiano left for better gigs in the NFL. I couldn't care less if they flamed out in that atmosphere. They have both won at programs that are as bad as BC and would come with a roadmap as to how right the ship. If we are going the first-time-head-coach (again), the only universe of coaches I'd explore are current or former NFL coordinators.

Looks like Marrone is getting the Jacksonville Jaguars job.

Which means the Jags just stole our next AD and head coach. I'm sure Q.Williams/R.Day combo will be just as successful.

you can't be the ad because you have homosexual intercourse with the administrators of a bc sporting themed website - which would be viewed as a conflict of interest

The stadium holds 45k. The AD shouldn't have to compete with $1 listings on stubhub. I get it, you gotta maximize revenue, but start with the product on the field. :toby

Doug Marrone's signature achievement as a HC was outsmarting the Buffalo Bills. Think about that.
