Ogeron getting the Clay Helton treatment and is having interim removed. Tom Herman still available (for Texas).

Charlie Strong officially gone. Have to assume that, timing of O officially getting the gig in Baton Rogue, wasn't a coincidence. Bet Herman is announced in days.

Early rumor out of Austin... if Texas can't come terms with Herman, they will take a hard look at Ryan Day, Jeff Moorhead and Don Brown.

Bullet dodged. Texas announcing they've hired Tom Herman.

You're not suppose to mention Don Brown! When TRE gets back from the game today, he's not going to be happy!

You can mention Don Brown without being banned so long as you are mocking those idiots willing to hire a 61-year as a replacement for Daz.

Heard we're building a bullet train from Ann Arbor to Chestnut Hill to get Don Brown here faster. Per sources, deal is being held up because Brown's agent is demanding it guarantee the corners be filled in.

My fervent hope for the next head coach is that he was born sometime after the Eisenhower administration.

Since it looks like we're stuck with Daz, is there any chance we get rid of Loeffler?

I fully support getting rid of Loeffler... I never thought I would long for the days for Ryan Day.

The assistants are fine and have been successful whenever their head coach wasn't a Dazoo. Addazio is a micromanager with the intellectual capacity that is maximized by gameday coaching of OL.

Last year's coordinators are both in the Broyles list. They were 0-8 in the ACC last year with Daziani screaming at them through his headset.

This program needs an experienced helmsman who knows how to navigate the cold and tempestuous New England waters. I'm tired of watching the program emulate the wreck of the Hesperus. Let's bring in the Flying Dutchman himself - Donny Brown!

Brian Kelly is reportedly exploring other options with hopes of getting tfo of South Bend. He wouldnt be my first choice, but I would take him in a heart beat over thinskin (even tho Kelly is kind of a thinskin too but at least he can score more than 20 points in a game and is from the area).

Bob Davie's New Mexico up 21-0 on ESPN2. You'd think they'd be distracted by all the rumors surrounding his candidacy for the BC job, but Bobby Footbaw knows how to keep his team focused.

Kelly would be a huge upgrade at BC.

The first thing I would do if I was ND would be to get rid of those Kelly Gold glitter helmets and go back to the gold flake helmets that were not distracting.

Mark Helfrich done at Oregon. Pretty precipitous fall for Helfrich. Lots of Nike money sloshing around for the next coach.

I'd like Bob Davies if he wasn't 62.

I'd like Bob Davies if he wasn't 62.

He is the same age as board siren Donnie Brown.

This should not come as a surprise, but there is a strong correlation between the age of BC head coach when hired and their success.
Jack Bicknell - 43
Jeff Jagodzinski - 44
Tom Coughlin - 45
Tom O'Brien - 49
Dan Henning - 52
Steve Addazio - 54
Frank Spaziani 62

Kiffin is an excellent OC and recruiter. Not sure he's ever going to be a great head coach. No idea where he'll go. But, rumors have him being offered sick money to join Ogeron in LSU.

ESPN also reporting that Oregon has reached out to Schiano and Taggart... two coaches some here weren't good enough for us. No word yet on whether HCRD or Donnie Brown has been interviewed.
