So many fucking poseurs. Personally I'd be happy if most of you stayed away so that I could show up 20 minutes before gametime and park by the recplex for free. They will still play if only 17k of us show up, you know. BC has played varsity football since 1893; they know how to do it without you.

Tell me again about how you let the young alumni phone offers go straight to voicemail?

The yellow undershirts are students. The students aren't the problem. Not for football attendance at least.

This doom is good news for me, as I'm looking to poach some cheap seats for WF. I wonder if BC has changed the farcical policy of all children needing a seat (even a 2 month old). Either way, more $ for tailgating.

at least until the band stops playing buttercup

They will be great for Northwestern. They always are for the opener. Then, once the freshmen witness the apathy of those surrounding them and realize that it's OK to arrive late (or not at all) and leave early, they regress. The student section will be 25% full at kickoff for the Duke game. Mark it down/book it/whatever teddy says.

I had hummus, falafel, and some of that Lebanese eggplant paste on garlic pita with a Greek salad. I stink.

That eggplant stuff is good. It's called baba gannoush or something like that, right?

You carry your tickets around all the time? That seems unnecessary.

Young alumni are ruptured ducks in yellow undershirts. I should have clarified.

Ruptured geoducks?

Looks like you're gonna have to pay a visit to the box office on gameday. It's a good thing BC offers ample tailgating time to loyal fans such as yourself.

I always wondered who the people came from who handed out programs:

Dear friends of Boston Cares,

Join us this fall for some collegiate football excitement, and your efforts will support Boston Cares. Outgoing and energetic volunteers are needed to sell programs at Boston College home football games - $1 from every sale will benefit Boston Cares' community service programs. Volunteers arrive prior to kick off and sell programs through halftime or until the supply runs out. Volunteers are free to stay and enjoy the rest of the game after their service. Volunteers are especially needed for this Saturday, Sept. 3 at 9:30am.

This project is kid-friendly, ages 16+, is good for groups, and is open to the public.
See all available dates, learn more, or sign up...
We are also recruiting project leaders for the games on Sat., Sept. 3; Sat., Sept. 24; and Sat., Nov. 3. Email Lynn at lpray@bostoncares.org to sign up.

Thank you for your continued support of Boston Cares!

Best,
Lynn

Luckily I have the free tickets, otherwise I might pull a typical LAPD traffic stop on their asses.

Yes. They used to outsource ticket sales but this season brought all ticketing on campus. I believe he is the one in charge of the operation .

Start of this past school year. Hired a new team, looks like some from BC's existing box office team, most new.

BC announcing "news" per their twitter on Friday.

You'd think they were the NFL trying bury bad news with this act.

Friday afternoon 4th of july weekend. Genius.

maybe the news is that the "discussions" with boston city officials did not go well and they have to scrap both the plans AND the renderings for the indoor practice facility (that would have been built with a ceiling too low to practice punts or place kicks)
