Sounds like an ACC Network, in the form that B1G exists, won't be happening as a result of a shift in subscription habits and tendencies. Didnt realize that ACC member schools were due ~$45mm annually by ESPN should a network not get off the ground by July 1, 2016 ($3mm per school/year).

We're not going to see an ACC Network and I think that's fine. Like the article says, this is a good opportunity for the ACC to get out in front with a new platform.

Given that sports rights fees have finally killed the golden goose of cable subscriptions (we had a whole thread on this topic that I would link if Justin ever cared enought to fix the search functionality), the B10/P10/SEC TV thing is no longer sustainable. It will be very interesting to see what B10 gets in this new reality. I believe they are the next conference to go out for bid.

Yes... because basketball drives the bus on these discussions. FSU and Clemson also best be careful because they have never carried their wait in Tourney credits either.
