You can't build on the Mods. The ground underneath it doesn't support it

While I agree this won't be built tomorrow, they wouldn't be releasing it like this if they didn't know it was happening - both the cash and the approvals - even if they aren't yet all locked up.
I do think the location of the practice facility is telling. Not that there would be any better place, but Walsh seems to be the best guy to deal with.

do you have an updated version that reflects the direction of the water run off that will taint the groundwater?

ILikeBC {l Wrote}:I'm amazed they allegedly haven't even talked to Boston officials yet...it took 4 years to decide to talk to Boston officials? I was hoping we'd get renderings and a hard timeline...but of course not.

Exactly. They can't just announce it's going to happen without the proper public hearings to take place so Eva et al. can get their shots in. This thing is all but done -- hopefully it will be ready by '17-'18 season
In the press conference with media at 1p.m., however, Bates implied that the IPF is a foregone conclusion. At this point, University Spokesman Jack Dunn stepped in and stated that BC will still have to go through the normal channels to get this passed. He mentioned that, in the original IMP, BC planned for undergraduate housing to be placed on the Shea Field site. Now, those plans will need to be reevaluated.

Also said construction is 8-12 months once approved. Hopefully this means fundraising is in fact all set. Over/under this is ready before the 2018 season?

If anyone knows how long permits took on 2150 Comm Ave that would be helpful

I was going to ask this as well, does anyone have insight into the permitting process, and realistically how quickly something like this could break ground (my assumption is that the funds are all there) ?
