Who the hell is the OJ poster you guys mention?

I know I am just a stupid hillbilly and couldn't get into BC, even if my last name was Flutie..
but I should have been able to figure this out after 33 years on this crazy board.

I'm not sure he made it to this board. He was an angry poster at the Chevy board that liked the Capitals and said vaguely racist things about the basketball program.

What do you want to know?

The briefest synopsis that I can provide is that:

- I was basically eesptein back before eepstein had even applied to Colby.

- I found fault in everything that the administration, coaches, players, students, etc. ever did.

- I would sometimes take a tangent that some of the folks here accused of being racist.

- I am a Washington Capitals fan and never attended BC games because I lived in NoVa but I was still the loudest complainer about a lack of attendance.

- I posted on the scout board under the name OJ1969. On this board I took the handle "domino12." EagleTalon was obsessed with getting domino12 to admit that he was OJ1969 on the scout board. It was creepy

- I am the only regular posted on the Scout board that never had their penis in angry chicken/tobsux's mouth

- Whenever one of my predictions of Boston College failure or Washington Capitals victory would turn out to be false, I would get "really busy at work" and abandon the message board for weeks/months.

- Angry Ty hated me the most and always had terribly disparaging things to say about me

I thought he was fake-rocketcarred. Ty used to say he worked in the mail room at Lehman Brothers or something like that.

He has as much chance of participating in a NFL game as I do. Man he was terrible here.

Towles working out also humors me. The scouts were probably ducking out of the way at his errant passes

Based upon his size (not the kind that TRE cares about) and athleticism, Towles will be signed as an UFA. Also, his agent will be able to blame his shortcomings on poor coaching.

QB Patrick Towles (6-4 7/8, 241) ran the 40 in 4.58 and 4.54 seconds, had a 31.5-second vertical, a 4.37-second short shuttle, and a 7.32-second three-cone. Scouts wanted him to go through a tight end workout but the transfer from Kentucky declined, saying he wanted to be a quarterback.

After watching the kid play, I'm just not buying that 40 time in a game situation. He was incredibly slow

Patrick Towles is not Jeff Smith (either version) but he is far from slow.

Fixed.

Towels is a lot of things... but a QB isn't one. He may have every measurable you can dream of, but he is the least natural player I have ever seen at the position. The trio of a walk-on (Fadule), a holder (Flutie) and a WR (Smith) all had a CONSIDERABLY better head for the position. I have no idea what he was like before suffering PSD while playing behind Kentucky's OL. However, now he is too shell-shocked to play the position... and I don't see that ever changing.

The real question on Towles is how many games would've we won last year with Wade as the QB. Towles was great in the bowl game, but was average at best in the 12 games before

Cuse & GTech were close losses that we should have one. As you said, Tolles played well against GTech and that loss was entirely on Sarge. Tolles had that long TD run against Cuse. Wade came in after that and didn't do much. All of the other losses we got blownsed-out and Wade would have made zero difference.

This, he is a good athlete. 4.6-4.7 for a QB his size is not bad at all.

He has similar measurables to Chris Crane except Crane was a better passer. Too bad Crane got hurt near the end of the season.

As a passer, Crane was good at running and handing off to Montel Harris.

Chris Crane was a bazillion times better than Towles as a passer and game manager. The only edge Towles has is he's better scrambling.
I'd bet the Jets draft Towles. They like crappy unproven QBs who have physical measurements that fit some formula. like Hackenberg, Smith, Petty, Sanchez (who turned out ok for 2 years) and half a dozen other guys who so bored me I've forgotten their names.

I didn't say that Crane was good, dipshit, only that he was better than Towles, which isn't saying much. Crane took them to an ACC championship game.
