2nd place NBE team

Postby nsbcfan on Mon Nov 02, 2009 1:20 pm

Assuming Notre Dame does not make the BCS, it seems like they are a lock for the Gator Bowl. Does that put the 2nd place team from the NBE in the Meineke Bowl?

before, didn't the champs of the BE go to the meineke? maybe they really are moving up in the world. if ND goes to a BCS bowl, how much of the revenue do they share with the BE?

ND shares $0.00 with the rest of the Big east. Pretty sure for BCS purposes, they are considered a part of the entity, so they cut an annual cut of the BCS money whether they qualify or not. I think they get something like $4mm per year guaranteed from the BCS and they don't share any football revenue with the Big East. But they can take one of BE's lesser bowl slots.
