I actually love the idea of playing Kansas. It is fun travelling to places you'd never otherwise go... and playing teams that you really have nothing in common with. There is a mutual respect that develops as you aren't really ever in competition with each other. It kinda is like why BC and Clemson fans get along so well.

Schedule teams where we actually recruit. BC hasn't recruited Indiana, Kansas, Illinois or Missouri in forever. Replace those schools with Maryland, Texas Tech, and maybe Georgia or something. We at least recruit there.

Do you guys have any clue where the heck Texas Tech is located? I don't believe we've ever recruited someone from the Lubbock area (it is an 8-hour drive from where the city we often get "good news" from) and don't recall ever being in a recruiting battle with TT.

You have to fly into either DFW or Houston and take a puddle hopper. It's also a dry county so you have to go next door to get booze. They have bars and shit, I guess, but Lubbock is nothing to write home about.

You'd seriously travel to watch BC play Kansas in football?

I am as die-hard as they come and there is a 0% chance I will go to that.

I will go to Mizzou for whatever that is worth

Lubbock ranks as the 2nd most conservative place in the US and 10th most likely campus to hookup.

I would've suggested Texas A&M but Walrus will probably quit his job to do some crazy OOC schedule research to prove why that wouldn't work.

I'd absolutely go and am planning on it depending on the date. I love visiting these out-of-the-way college towns. I've actually been to a game in Stillwater... which was a great trip. Lawrence sound like a place that could hold my interest for a weekend...

Details on this Fenway thing are coming out.

- Yukon gets 1.1mm to move game
- BC gets 7k tickets but FSG gets 10, so effectively I'd imagine it's a 22-17k split (and yukon will not fill allotment)
- Not sure if they will get logo'ing on field/stadium

This is a smaller thing, but BC better reserve one of the bars on Landsdown immediately. Letting ND take over all the bars was more of a disaster than the ticket allotment...

And BC should insist on neutral field logo'ing. Each with one end zone.

THey are playing other games there before the BC game (think one is UMASS and Maine, another FCS game, and some HS games) so I would imagine that would mean it will be FSG logo'ing/neutral logos

Lawrence is a lot easier to get to than Columbia.

There's no reason whatsoever to play TTU. Better to play UTSA, SMU or even North Texas. UGA and UF have rivalries with ACC teams, and if UF adds another it will be to play Miami.

BC should be rotating through UCF, USF, Cincy and Temple regularly. And try to get Vandy when they're not playing Wake. Ohio St, Michigan, and Ped St should be a priority for baby rapists.

$1.1 mil is a serious payout for UConn.

uconn averaged 25k this year (counting limbs that walked in opposed to people), tickets won't be an issue

Columbia is pretty small, but if you do go, make a little trip over to the Churchill Museum in Fulton. That's where he gave the "Iron Curtain" speech and they put a cool little museum there.

I'll go to Kansas. I enjoy lots of nothing and Kansas has plenty of it.

Friday Night: Brown vs. Dartmouth
Saturday Day: UMass vs. Maine
Saturday Night: BC vs. UConn

This is good for New England.

Are they putting synthetic turf over the grass, or is this a situation that's ready made for a serious knee injury on a chewed-up field?

Never mind. I read the dates wrong:
Friday 11/10: Brown vs. Dartmouth
Saturday 11/11: UMass vs. Maine
Saturday 11/18: BC vs. UConn

In all honesty, I have no problem with these ads. Like it or not, Kansas and Rutgers are peer programs... at least they are based on the last 8 years (and likely the next 4). The schedule going forward is fine. Of the eleventy billion things to criticize the program on, getting winnable P5 games on the schedule is simply not one of them.

This. Heading to Alumni to watch them play Purdue, Rutgers or Kansas is a lot better than going to see Wagner, Buffalo or UConn. It's fine considering the state of the program. Win games and play an exciting team in a bowl game.

This. The program is a joke with no hope in sight. These are the games that they should be playing so that they don't get blown out and can eventually make it to a really bad/boring bowl match-up.

Ugh I hate defending Daz and BC.

To say this program is a joke makes you sound ridiculous.

They are in the bottom 5 or 10 of the P5 programs regarding facilities and fan support. In addition, they are 46-56, 23-41 in conference since Spaz took over. 18 games under .500 in conference with no major changes in the foreseeable future doesn't bode well for the program. IDK how much worse things need to get before they can be accurately categorized as not being good. But let's see how a freshman or another 5th year QB does next year... things are bound to turn around.

Not good and a joke are about as close as Boston and Oklahoma there Shaddix
