I'm leaving out Mizzou. Keeneland Racecourse is in Lexington and that's on my bucket list. I don't like country music at all, but at least Nashville has some culture and history.

It may not be perfect, but it's P5, it's SEC, and it's a good team. This is a very good competitive matchup.

Try to remember that:
1) We needed somebody with an opening in 2021, specifically someone who could go on the road to play at Alumni in 2021 (already have @UMass and @Temple).
2) We're already playing Ohio State, Clemson, Louisville, @FSU and @VT in 2024. You may want 'Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, etc, but I don't think you want 6 near-guaranteed losses in 2024. Among SEC teams, Missouri is at least winnable assuming we can get back to even '00 - '06 level talent.
3) With SEC teams, beggars can't be choosers. Just be grateful BB didn't schedule Rutgers or Maryland.

Missouri has won 11 and 12 games 2 of the last 4 years, yet were calling a game 6 years from now more winnable?

Yes. I reached out to him because I got tired of being called the LBL. We are going to play the ponies and plan Faggagedon IV - Pignocchio in Space.

You might want to add Mississippi State to the list of bad SEC locations. Starkville is impossible to get to, and there's nothing there. Lacks the talent in Oxford too. Unless the game's in Little Rock, Arkansas is no bargain either.

Just for fun, with just 2026 and 2027 left open on the immediate future P5 schedule, here are the teams with those two years open (ignoring Purdue, Ohio State, Stanford, Missouri):

BIG: Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan***, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers
Big12: Baylor, Kansas, OSU, WVU
Pac12: Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, USC, Utah
SEC: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida***, Georgia***, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

***has one scheduled, but has been scheduling 2 P5's frequently***

Personal Top 5 Preference:
1) Michigan
2) Penn State
3) Cal
4) Oregon
5) Washington

I'd just swap Coughlin and Flutie. Let Flutie do the AD work. Coughlin as a Bowden-like figure-head head coach. But yeah, exactly.

I agree with this, especially since I would almost guarantee both end up being the "best" (relatively speaking) OOC games for their respective years. If these end up being a 2nd OOC game, either with ND on sched or a higher profile P5 game, then that works much better.

The only benefit I can see (and I personally don't think it's valid, but it's a talking point nonetheless) is the recruiting impact it has in said area and the exposure to 2 areas BC is active.

Bates should be fired just for scheduling Rutgers. As I've said before, if we can't get at least mid-level P5 teams there are intriguing road trips that are better than Big East retreads.

This is complaining just to complain. It's 10 years away, you have no idea what either program will be. Name one of these "road trips" you reference that would move the needle and make up for an inferior opponent. Outside of the aforementioned Army (which I completely agree should be on the sched more regularly), people aren't going to make a trip to see BC play Tulane simply because it's in a good location.

Shitty and boring football breeds complaining just to complain. It's the reason this board exists.

They won't play Army as long as Corrigan is the AD. He got stiffed out of the AD job when Bates got it so he has no desire to deal with BC. Ditto Navy with Chet the Jet as AD. BC played them both yearly back in the day and the West Point trip was a great weekend in the fall. Also, the BC alumni association used to run a trip to New Orleans in the 70's and 80's every time BC played Tulane. They used to get 1000+ people to go on those junkets. I think BC should be what they used to be and what Boise became...play anyone, anywhere, anytime so long as it is an uptick in scheduling and makes the program more visible.
