Fadule, T Flutie, Bordner, Perry...a tradition of excellence. All of those guys took snaps in actual games at one point under Daz. Is there any way Johnson or Valecce is decent...not that I trust Daz to make the right decision.

It’s been rumored for a while, based on the 5 drives in spring game for Vallece and seeing Perry in actually games, safe to say Vallece is better

There is no way a kid playing AA in the Catholic League, who is a legit D-1 QB, should ever be on the business end of a 54-17 thrashing in the biggest game of the year, even with the surrounding low-grade talent available at the school Logi informed me--much to my horror--that my grandparents helped float in the early 70s, when the Prep should have been left to go the way of Manhattan Prep, Tolentine, De La Salle, Cardinal Farley, and whole host of other schools within the NY Archdiocese that served no useful purpose.

In sum, it should not be assumed that Valecce will do anything of note. My own expectations are that he will resemble another Mamaroneck resident, the great Sammy Maldanado, who should always be referred to as the poor man's Harold Gayden when discussing the pantheon of Toughchester football greats.

Appreciate the feedback...HC is in dire need of at least a serviceable QB next year...starter (who was just OK) graduated and none of the other kids have really stepped up it appears. Incoming frosh from Florida is supposed to be decent but who knows? HC is at Navy and at Syracuse the first month of the season and it could get really ugly without a halfway decent QB.

EJ Perry has ACC level athleticism but Patriot League level passing ability. He just lacks the vision / passing accuracy to be a starter here in the ACC.

He's a dual threat QB even though 247 lists him as a pro style QB. He prob could make a nice career for himself at the FCS level.

He's a very good holy cross QB.

You forgot Brooklyn Prep where my grandfather went. More of an apples to apples comparison since both were being discussed by the jesuits to be shutdown around the same time.

Sammy Maldonoado played for Harrison.

McDonald is on there now.

Valecce looking like #2 after the spring game with a high rated freshman on the roster and two more years of AB would clear out the QB room pretty quick. Still some good ones out there for 2020 we can hopefully lock down.

McDonald is on there now.

There was an article in Perry's hometown paper he was sticking with BC no matter what after the spring game.

He is still not listed in the portal.

I though McDonald was much much better for our offense than Perry but at this point it is a numbers game and Valecce is clearly 2.
