Yup, really thought they should have brought in 2 in this class.

Maybe Davon Jones gets asked back for a fifth year? I would highly encourage this.

No chance Jones wasn’t asked back. Jones seems the one who has decided to be done with football.

Depending on any remaining scholarships used, it wouldn't surprise me to see a current OL or TE move to defensive line.

Emer and Korutz both started here on D. Those redshirt freshman Olineman are all going to be good ones. Could see Dirstine and Vrabal’s kid both cracking the starting lineup this year with all the other ones graduating. Hopefully Johnson can come back from his freshman form and anyone besides Baker in the middle is going to help. Lindstrom is the only one we will miss next year.

He walked-on and earned a scholarship. He only played in the GTech game (missing two FGs) his Soph year. Shouldn't he have applied then?

I'd pass on the Colton, his limited range and tendency to miss chip shots is a no go in my book. There's a few decent grad transfers kickers who I think BC should go after and a couple of OLs in this link.

It used to be that you applied for a waiver when you actually need it (i.e. when you have exhausted your playing eligibility).
This may have changed in recent years however.

p.s. Colton seems to have had a lot of injuries for a kicker. Is this common? I would expect place kicker to be one of the safest positions on the field.

Cheevers declaring for Draft. Best of luck to him. I hope Addazio has a transfer or a few more recruits to backfill. I would hate to pull a Spaz and be at less than 85 scholarships.

How long is recovery for ACL nowadays. The kid is a beast. I hope this doesn't slow him down. Really thought he'd be the next BC LB in the NFL.

9-12 mos right?

depending on recovery, maybe they hold him out till the last 4 games so he can maintain his redshirt?

Valdez / Karaka / Rayam / Barlow

Richardson / Lamont / Davon Jones (Muse?)

Sebastian / El Attrach / Palmer / Elijah Jones (?) / Nickle CB?

Not sure on CB

It actually isn’t a terrible lineup for LB and DB. Obviously, not what we had this year and nowhere near the depth. But decent. The DL, however, is a train wreck.

Jones' Tweat after the Cuse game would suggest that he is done. Betro will be in the mix at DT. Muse is still listed as a DB and didn't even play special teams last season. I thought the D would be ok before the Cheevers and McDuffie news. We will need to score a lot of points next season!

muse did play a little on s/t (which opened some of our eyes to him now being lb size). the rs fr will definitely challenge for time as well.

no clue on db, athletes that we haven't had in a while (the days of spencer rositano, etc. going up against fsu receivers are thankfully over) but incredibly young

Spencer Rositano playing safety, good times

Could we please not mention Spencer Rositano? It makes my eye twitch. He went to Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn. A guy who worked for me had a kid who played at Stone Bridge with him. I remember when we signed him and I thought “okay, Stone Bridge is probably the best non Catholic school for football in the NoVa part of the DC Metro. They had some kids who ended up at Alabama, Stanford, Va Tech and Notre Dame during that period of time—the DT who went to Bama was the #1 recruit in the country his year IIRC. I thought this must be a good signing in the general scheme of things. And then my employee told me Spencer had only been 2nd Team All Metro and that everyone figured he’d end up at William & Mary because he wasn’t good enough for JMU and too smart for ODU. I said “what about UVA?” He said UVA might have taken him as a preferred walk on and I knew we were doomed.

Davon Jones and Robinson are back for 5th year. Knopkfe or however you spell his name and Jimmy Martin are done. Wonder if Jimmy Martin is going to try and latch on to a NFL team as a long snapper. Think he was a 3 year starter at that spot.

Are we sure it was an ACL? He looked fine Saturday. I know ACLs are not the career enders that they used to be but that would be a ridiculously fast recovery.
