Malachi Moore was not at the Scanlin dinner.

based on hearsay and alleged Scanlin attendance, it sounds like Moore and Taylor are gone.

based on Joy winning the "Determination Award" is it fair to say he's likely out as well?

Strizak and Cashman could be on their way out as well. for all these guys i'll wait for confirmation one way or the other before updating.

FWIW - Jackson & Moore are not in the Scanlin photo: http://www.bceagles.com/galleries/?gallery=860.
Not sure about Cashman, Strizak & Taylor.

if Davon Jones is on the team, why wouldn't BC put him on the roster on the website?

He had an academic issue early on and I think got to campus late, then was redshirted. He was definitely on the sideline as I saw him multiple times, think he was wearing jersey #16

Cool, I thought he had a lot of potential amongst the class. Hopefully the bozos fix the error. It is an honor to be a student athlete at an institution like Boston College, and I would think the website is where friends and family check for updates. Would be nice to actually have all team members listed!

He's a Cornell transfer, apparently he was also a (good) kicker but he hurt his knee. If his knee is recovered he may actually contribute as a kicker. I don't think he is on scholarship and I don't think there is any chance he will play LB.

- We're really thin at DT, one injury away from a complete disaster
- Need to keep up with DB depth. They whiffed badly this year. Palmer could be ok. The Bletzer thing is stupid
- That OL is really young, good luck with that
- 3 RBs is not going to work
- There's talent at WR, I think anyway...

As to DTs, Reid might be different, but under brown I think larger DEs like Allen, Morais and cohee might be able to play inside.

At least the OL should have multiple starters who are neither 1) spaz talent misses; or 2) less than three years in the program

Hopefully they close with two DBs and a RB

Agreed but if our DTs are Cohee and Allen we're in some major trouble. Big part of that D last year was stuffing the run. Best DTs I've seen here since Raji and Brace

I assume the starters are Smith and Guptafel, which should be fine against the run. Merritt and Vitiello (I guess) along with Korutz are probably the backups with the larger DEs rotating in situationally. It's true that its not as deep as last year and I doubt anyone plays up the level of Wujciak. Conversely, I think the pass rush could be better (assuming some continuity as far as coaching).

This is pretty spot on. I think you can expect improvement from Allen and Ray which could be a little scary for opposing offenses

Has anyone heard anything in re: to Jay Hayes ? I believe he announced he was leaving ND and could fill a huge void immediately. I forget the situation around him (did he speak out against a coach or something), but he is local (Poly Prep in Brooklyn) and at a major position of need.

Edit: maybe not, idk how old he is and if he would have to sit out a year or if he could even transfer to BC seeing as how BC/ND play each other in years to come

The Illinois State football team added another potential option to its passing attack on offense Monday, when head coach Brock Spack announced the addition of Boston College wide receiver Chase Pankey to the roster.

Pankey redshirted at Boston College during the 2015 season and will have four years of eligibility remaining with the Redbirds. The 6-foot-2 speedster will be eligible to play immediately for ISU in 2016 due to FCS transfer rules.
