Hey Regal,

What's up?

Your boy's coaching tenure at BC, that's what's up.

Let's look at the offensive players this guy has recruited since he came here. Well there is a broken Jon Hilliman, who was only good behind an all ACC O line brought up by Spaz. There's a half man who can't catch punts anymore. Oh and thank God we brought in his son as a transfer tight end with a dozen medical red shirts and an aggregious amount of cellulight (he looks like the fat guy in "Invincible" who tried out for the Eagles wearing a cape)(like he is just a 6ft fat dude). Some good defensive players have come in to help out guys he inherited like Simmons and Daniels, but Addazio hardly knows the names of defensive players let alone contributes to recruiting and coaching them into the best defense in the nation. Promote Donnie Brown and fire all offense coaches but Washington and Frye. Please and thank you!

I am kind of flattered. But it doesn't change the fact that it's more idiotic to compare BC's current QB situation to that of 2014 Ohio State.

Anyone who suggests that promoting Don Brown to head coach is the answer will be stabbed in the face. Repeatedly.

If Daz continues to control the offense, then it won't matter how good the defense is this year, next year, or any year.

A real AD would make Daz hire a real OC after this season, but we know that won't happen.

Why should we allow Daz to stay on with a new OC? What value is he bringing at that point? He's a good recruiter, but not a do nothing but recruit as a head coach good recruiter.

Well because no one gives a shit what we think and the guy who actually makes the decision is the one who hired Daz.

I don't think any of these things will happen, for the record. I think Addazio gets this year and next year at least. Next year he'll probably win 7-8 with a team that could have won 10, and we'll have to pretend that's an accomplishment. Thus the cycle of mediocrity continues

Late game play calling, absolute risk aversion, and an inability to correct critical weaknesses have cost us too many games these past few seasons. Whether it's hubris or not, Daz needs to get his head out of his ass and realize what his weaknesses are. It's year 3, I don't care how young we are now, he's had years to prepare for this roster situation and has done little to mitigate this offensive disaster.

GMAFB!

I just re-watched the ending. We had 1st down at the 1 with 29 seconds left and no timeouts. As the clock starts, they're in a fucking huddle! The clock ticks off 11 fucking seconds (to :18) before they snap the ball and they run a handoff up the middle?

The stupid fucking huddle was inexcusable! Was Daz asked about it in the presser?

Could someone that listened to the presser(s) explain how Daz blamed the huddle on (I assume) Smith. Why wasn't Smith given instructions while they were measuring?

BC became the first team since 1989 to lose back to back games when allowing 9 points or fewer in each game.

That 1989 team? Boston College.

A tradition like no other...

Nothing about the hudle:
"At the end when they called the measurement we called another play with a spike at the end of that. We just couldn't get it operated quick enough. I don't remember exactly what it was, 23, 24, 26, it was somewhere in the 20s. You'd like to think that you could do that with 16 seconds left comfortably. Even some people will tell you, you can do that with 13 or 14 seconds left. I probably would not have taken a chance with that but at 20 something seconds we just had to do that… We had to take a shot at the goal line given the history of the field goals. We had to do that. There's nothing wrong with that sequence. We're inexperienced. There's a lot of youth out there. Even when you're trying to lay things out exact as you can. It's young guys that have never been in these situations before. It's my job to grow this offense up. We tried to simplify it in the second half of the game, to dumb it all the way down so we could just run some basic, basic things to try to get some productivity."

Wonder if the debate on the headset was Fitch telling him he is an idiot for not rolling the QB out there with a run pass option.

Id love to hear what was said. The running play was a fine idea until you wasted the 10 seconds before it with the discussion and subsequent huddle. Not the play I would've called but whatever
