I just re-watched the ending. We had 1st down at the 1 with 29 seconds left and no timeouts. As the clock starts, they're in a fucking huddle! The clock ticks off 11 fucking seconds (to :18) before they snap the ball and they run a handoff up the middle? Smack dab into our biggest weakness? Fucking inexcusable. If we miss 3 or 4 throws, then I'm pissed and acknowledge Smith simply sucks at passing. This is the last straw for me. Daziani sucks and should be canned.

Addazio needs to admit to himself that he is not an OC. We all know who is running the offense and it's not Fitch. Unfortunately, Addazio has a huge ego and is a control freak with the offense. He needs to stay out of the offense just as he stays out of the defense.

I was assuming that Fitch called the Rouse run on 1st and Goal with 29 seconds yet. Am I wrong there? Is Daz actually calling the plays? Other than the play call, I'd think it's on the offensive assistants on the sidelines who actually call stuff into the players and do all the communicating to make sure the team knows that the clock is going to roll and to be in hurry-up mode. And it's on Daz to intervene if all of the above are clearly dropping the ball. It seemed like absolutely nobody on the staff, from top to bottom, was doing their job those last 30 seconds.

The worst part is that this team is going to be very good next year and the year after. Instead of taking advantage of that potential and competing for an ACC title, we will have to be satisfied with 7-8 wins and a bowl game.

It was a complete meltdown by Addazio. Can you imagine Coughlin fucking those last 29 seconds up? One play in 29 seconds! $2.6 million and he does not have the team prepared for the last 30 seconds of the game! He brings Flutie in for one play earlier in the quarter, does not get the play in on time and wasted a TO. Instead of calling a timeout after Wake Forest was stopped on 3rd down Addazio lets 30 seconds run off the clock 30 seconds you never get back 30 seconds that would have given him enough time to run a running play at the end of the game and still kicked a field goal. Addazio has no idea how to manage the game clock in the last 2 minutes of any half and he just simply goes into meltdown mode

No, because our fucking unreal defense is only going to get better. The offensive line will be one year older. Dudeck will be gone so we will no longer be playing 10 v11. We have good players on this team. The problem is a mix of youth and mostly terrible coaching.

This is true. Again, Daz and staff isn't doing great this year, but considering the limitations (QB, OLine, Kicker) very few coaches would be doing much better.

Only Urban Meyer, who won a national championship, with a third string quarterback.
