Again, Flutie made good throws on his first two drives. Both drives were ruined by others (the penalties on the first and the OLine getting blown up on the 2nd). He's earned another shot. And Smith showing progress, but I still don't think he looks like he can be trusted as the permanent option. Not yet.

Garbage is a strong description. It was a scripted drop-back-and-throw to a target. Smith got bumped hard at the line and maybe gave up on the route a bit. Either way. Not completing a 3rd and 22nd matters a lot less than the good completions on the first two drives.
