Georgia is in Al Washington's territory, yes? One of the Dazzler's best decisions was keeping Al on staff. Just a great BC guy.

Since I would never pay for recruiting content, just going on the headlines on EA Malik Barrow has visiting Boston 2x this week. Top 150 player, DE from Florida. Has essentially Landry's offer list.

He's from Brockton and still has a ton of family in the area.

If we could get him to commit early and then start recruiting like Outlow did, then that would be huge. It seems like recruiting is all about landing a huge name early that's excited about the school. At least that's what I've surmised over the past ten or so years I've been following it.

The 2016 strategy seems strange to me. We are offering kids that we seemingly have no chance at. We offered Demar Hamilton from PA with offers from PSU, ND, OSU, etc.

Best of luck

They do that every year. Spaz did it too and Jags and TOB.

There is always a chance, unless no offer is extended. The goal is to win the ACC and get into the playoffs and you can't achieve those goals by not going after the best recruits. BC needs to give the staff everything they need to get some of those top recruits.

But Addazio wins some of those battles. For example - Hilliman with offers from OSU, Alabama, Florida,Georgia, Michigan, Miami and many others.

When he was at Florida he was the recruiter of the year & personally he has been able to land any player in the country (Similar at ND and Syracuse) - and has the swag to think he can do it again at BC - Spaz, Jags, TOB never had that experiential confidence or rep.

Sure there is a difference between BC and Fla or ND. But Addazio has better cred to land the top players than any coach I have seen at BC

I dont have a huge problem with this strategy. They will cast a wide net and see if they can get anyone to bite, where they can then begin a more active process.

Hopefully we start to see some commits for next recruiting cycle, as Addazios first 2 classes both started to see the first commit around this time (Palazzalo was around the new year and Outlow in mid Feb). I would bet on Scooter Harrington being the first, but am kind of surprised it has even taken this long. He has quietly put together a respectable offer sheet (BC, UVA, NCSU, Rutgers) considering he is from a fairly weak area of the country (FCIAC in CT).

There is very little about him online. I know he was commited to UNC for lacrosse but has since focused on football. I don't know why the merrymen would be in an uproar considering the lack of information (BC may not even offer, I'm just assuming he will be on radar because of his size).
