The kid from Andre Williams' school (Parkland). He flipped to UVA, who recruited him as a QB.

I saw that as well. Looks like Cheevers picked up an NCSU offer recently as well.

Frank Leonard tweeted something earlier suggesting a commit may have happened, but nothing really on Twitter to corroborate.

A plan C recruit who had an offer from NC State isn't bad. Plus, Don Brown has a good eye for DB talent and I believe we recruited Cheevers when Brown was still here. This might be irrelevant if the scheme changes but it is at least one reason for optimism.

kid has amazing instincts. His play at 1:46 leads me to believe he studies the game and picks up coverages. I am under the assumption that all Florida football is at worst half way decent, but wow there was some atrocious tackling going on in those videos. And if he thinks he is going to play cb in the acc flatfooted and staring into the backfield, he will never see the filed. One double move and a receiver is 10 yards behind him. Looks like a player, has great ball skills, and BC is always short in those areas. the problem is that he is the size of Larry Lester. If he plays cb, he will be giving up 8 inches to all of Clemsons and FSU's receivers. I have no problem with this add if it comes in.

He played in the smallest class of football in Florida, which means the level of play was pretty bad, often atrocious. Doesn't necessarily mean that the kid can't play. It just means that he hasn't seen anywhere close to level of speed/talent that he will see in college.

I like this kid. Happy to have him. Weird how DBs have gee a strength of each class, yet traditional positions like OL and LB are off are normally strong pace.

I thought you meant they were flipping from well known college programs, not from well known high school programs. Tate is from a 2A school in Florida so i think its smaller, he's probably not the name. The other name I was thinking was Benny Walls who is currently a Temple commit and from St. Joes Prep in Philly, however, I believe he committed fairly recently and is solid to Temple.
