He's trying to rehabilitate his asshattery after a poor showing in the last election cycle.

I had a feeling that he would be our first commitment after we offered him about a week ago. He can really get up and go and get the ball in the air.

Looks like Dalton is the #1 prospect out of MA, even though it is a weak year. Still a great first commit. His highlight tape is impressive.

He seems like one of those athletic bigs that Jags always used to say you can never have enough of. That said, pretty sure he isn't the #1 prospect in Mass.

I think Matt got that #1 rating from 247 because thats the only site to rate him so far. They have him at the #22 tight end and a 3 star for the star weirdos.

Scout ranked the Top 5 and he was in the "others to keep an eye on" list. At the end of the day, I believe Sean Ragan is going to be considered the top Mass player.

I dont know how many OL BC will take this year (after taking so many last year), but they should be in a good spot to land Ragan (legacy) and Eddy Fish (plays at Lawrence Academy where Paul Zukauskus coaches) should they offer both.

Kerry Raymond from Brockton appears on that list that Dalton is on as well, know nothing about him or if he could get in academically, but he's a big back with a running style very much like A. Williams

2 but no more than 3. FWIW, a family friend told me summer 2013 that Harrington was being recruited as an OL. I believed it when I saw him, summer before his Soph year.

so we've had 2 rivals classes with Addazio

rankings have been 42, and 45.

im not saying rankings mean a lot, but they do matter to some degree. i was blown away impressed by the 42 in the first class. slightly disappointed with the 45 this year as i thought we would for sure be below 42. however i do see that we have some good players and its honestly probably not worse and potentially better than the last class but definitely not a lot better.

i expect next year we will be above 42, probably in the 35-40 range. If we are consistently in the 35-40 range i will be happy but we can not go below 45. honestly I'm hoping for consistent low to mid 30's classes with the potential to get into the 20's

is that realistic?

Since you're not going to get a serious response from anyone on EO, the rankings and star values don't matter. Trust what your eyes tell you about that 42nd ranked class. Tons of kids in there that were instant impact and also had interest from other peer football schools. This and you haven't even seen much of Wade and the WRs who I think can play.

Based on their performance already... the question you should be asking is how in the effing world was last year's class only ranked 42?

Keep in mind this class will probably be much smaller than the last two so the overall ranking could suffer. The average recruit ranking should be higher though since we're able to be more selective .

Would have to imagine all the larger CT recruits (Quansah, Isaiah Wright, Jay Rose, Harrington, Settepani) will be there as well as all the Mass guys.

FWIW, Quansah got offered by Michigan today.

247 posted a partial list of attendees for this weekend (http://bostoncollege.247sports.com/Article/Boston-College-Bringing-In-Top-Targets-35753033)

Boston College will host many of its top targets this weekend.

Top100 cornerback Patrice Rene will make the visit along with his Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal teammate, offensive tackle Jesse Meyler. Rene is the nation’s No. 6 cornerback according to 247Sports and already holds an offer from the Eagles.

The country’s No. 9 inside linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite in Koby Quansah, along with his West Hartford (Conn.) Kingswood-Oxford teammate Isaiah Wright will also be in town, both arriving with a BC scholarship in hand.

Boston College is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite for legacy recruit in Greenwich (Conn.) High tight end Scooter Harrington, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 18 player at his position. Steve Addazio and his staff have been in the picture for Harrington since the beginning of the recruiting process.

Two more from Connecticut holding a Boston College offer coming to campus are Southington (Conn.) High tight end Jay Rose and New Canaan (Conn.) St. Luke’s outside linebacker Jacob Morgenstern.

Another legacy expected back to visit is Danvers (Mass.) St. John’s Prep offensive lineman Sean Ragan.

More notable visitors include Cherry Hill (N.J.) Camden Catholic receiver Tyree Rodgers along with Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek teammates in receiver Noah Ellison and linebacker tight end Tyreek Williams.

Not that the 3rd week in Feb is ever nice in Boston, but this year is historic for the crappiness of the weather.
