There is very little about him online. I know he was commited to UNC for lacrosse but has since focused on football. I don't know why the merrymen would be in an uproar considering the lack of information (BC may not even offer, I'm just assuming he will be on radar because of his size).

I googled him and got a bunch of info and video on him

I was looking around trying to see what QBs we were looking at and I found DJ Daniels on 24/7 who was recently predicted to BC. How many Qbs will we take this year? One? This kid likes to throw the deep ball and can do it from in and out of the pocket. He's not a burner but he can run respectably.

#1 seems like he might be able to play a little as well.

DT Joseph Goff has an early offer along with Pitt, Vandy and VT (the latter two and BC make up his top 3). Apparently he's a boarding student in VA but actually from Framingham and grew up wanting to play hockey at BC. In what is apparently a weak year for MA talent (more so than most), he could be a good option at a position of need.

Scooter Harrington (Greenwich, CT) adds Wake and PITT offers in last few days. Will visit BC again shortly per TOS
Jacob Morgenstern (St Luke's in New Caanan, CT) added PITT offer

Both guys had early BC offers (think BC was first to offer both). Probably going to see PITT coming into CT more often with Narduzzi there now (they also recently offered Koby Quansah from Kingswood Oxford in CT)

Shortly after the BC visit, Harrington will take his second visit to Stanford. If Stanford offers, ruh-roh.

Based on a quick look at the BC roster (which may not be accurate) I only see the following scholarship kids having no eligibility after next season:

Giacone, Bowen, Daniels, Lifka, Howell, Wolford, Simmons, Dudeck, Crimmins, Swigert, Williams, Abdesmad. I am assuming Radici, Caruso, Fischer, and Wilhelm are walk-ons. So that's only 12 kids definitely leaving. ATL, can you shed some light on where the other 8+ schollies are coming from? Thanks.

Others I can think of are Evan Kelly, Wucjiak, and Addazio (assuming he's on fb scholarship). There are also probably a few guys who might not get fifth years (Tim Joy and Harrison Jackson being candidates depending how they look post injury) and the inevitable turnover that happens. I think 20 might be high but I think we'd be able to get to 17-18 pretty easily.

Where they come from every year. It's 12 months to signing day, long time for people to leave.

Good catch on Wucjiak and Kelly (not yet listed on the roster). Addazio would have another year of eligibility if they wanted to give it to him.

There are 14 kids (includes Kelley & Addiazo) on the roster who will not have eligibility remaining if they play next season. I count 85 on the roster including Burke (but no other former walkon) and all of the recent commits.

The guys eligible for a 5th year would be: Jackson, Cashman, Taylor, Wolford, Burke, Moore, Joy & Strizak. Doubt Burke gets a 5th. Not as much deadwood on the rest of the roster as there used to be.

I thought this was right but FWIW, the rivals Vandy site has an interview up with Goff that doesn't mention anything about having a sibling attend Vandy. His quotes are "[i]t was kind of a surprise because I know Vanderbilt is a big school and has a football program that's on the rise" and "I was aware of what they were and knew about their program, but I never thought I would be getting offers from such prestigious schools like Vanderbilt."

I think I was wrong, the Vandy LB's nospacepedia entry mentions an older brother but not a younger.
