I wonder with the Giacone injury if Addazio will play some of the OL at the Y seeing as how there is little depth after Louie Addazio. I think Spaziani used some of the OL at the TE position, maybe declare OL as TE when they go to 2 TE sets since the TE position has primarily been a blocking position anyway, a guy like Joel Rich who I believe is transitioning to OL and has played TE in the past would be a nice piece there.

SLB is definitely our weakest position on D, which is a problem as it is extremely important in Brown's D.

Agree on the Dudeck ugh but we have a few guys banged up and Daz' stupid insistence pf listing 12 starters on O.

1. I hope Milano can play, SLB looks like a mess otherwise
2. The DLine depth is scary good
3. The secondary appears good on paper for a change
4. I'm fine with Dudek. We don't need Swigert getting hurt against Maine and Dudek played well in spot duty last year.

I heard Daz being interviewed on WEEI last night. What stood out was his praise of Abdesmad, claiming that he is an NFL caliber player. This seems a bit odd, as Abdesmad is not even listed as a starter.

He did not seem all in on Wade as the QB, but was adopting a wait and see approach with Wade, Smith and Flutie.

Said good things about Lindstrom.

He will be doing an interview every Monday evening (except maybe next week)

I think he is torn between (a) taking his lumps developing a passer that could be great in a year and (b) winning more now with an elite athlete running the option ala 2014. I think Wade is going to have a relatively short leash. If he starts throwing picks with any regularity, the Jet Smith era will be sooner than many thought.

This.

DE 8 Harold Landry 6-3 245 So.
45 Mehdi Abdesmad 6-7 286 Sr.
or 2 Zach Allen 6-5 265 Fr.

T 97 Truman Gutapfel 6-3 281 Jr.
96 Ray Smith 6-1 264 Fr.
or 94 Noa Merritt 6-0 268 So.

N 90 Connor Wujciak 6-3 304 Sr.
99 Evan Kelly 6-1 285 Gr.

DE 93 Kevin Kavalec 6-2 256 So.
87 Malachi Moore 6-4 274 Jr.
or 11 Wyatt Ray 6-3 230 Fr.

The ability to cycle in these players throughout the season is going to be huge.

Zach Allen 265 for a true FR, pretty big.

Daz says he has been "dominating": http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/coll ... ht_in_line

I swear I saw him near the Berklee Music School around 9:45 Thursday night; he was walking with a very pronounced limp.

Too bad TC's burned down, I would have thrown on pants and we could have had a name tag event.

Same deal as Swigert. They're going to start by Week 3 but are trying to work them back into the lineup with the injuries.

All Wade has to do in make the easy plays, use his legs and not turn the ball over.

If the OLine doesn't block, it really isn't going to matter who lined up at QB.

This is spot on. Addazio is still going to have control of this offense which means it will still be run heavy, and it would be dumb not to be with the depth at RB on this team. Addazio is going to play to the strengths of this team, and that is a deep group of RB's and a line that can run block (according to him the pass blocking has been a problem in camp). Im sure they will test Wade throwing the ball, but to say success this season is solely based on Wade is silly, its going to be on the line and how quickly they can play catch up.

From what I saw in the scrimmage, Wade has a live arm, but his accuracy under pressure leaves a lot to be desired. He throws a nice deep ball when given time. I think he could have some serious turnover issues against good defenses, which could kill his confidence, but his overall potential as a passer is good. If Wade really wins the job, Smith absolutely needs to be on the field in some capacity, whether that means a position change or whatever.

Michael Walker is also a player and needs to be on the field.

The O line has players that have been in the system for at least 2 years. They might not have a lot of snaps, but they were decent recruits. I expect that Daz will have them playing very well sooner than expected. Williams is a Sr., Taylor a Jr. Will lead the way. They are not all true freshman needing a year or two in the weight room. That said, they need to stay healthy.

Dudeck was recruited as a DB, I believe, and has always played capably as a spot receiver or RB, he's a reliable receiver with good hands, it's notlike he dropped a TD pass in the Clemson game or something.
