Apparently the kid said Todd Fitch was his primary recruiter lmao

Given the crappiness of the program, I tend not to think that a legit prospect would use BC as a school to pretend to commit to. This isn't the first time this has happened. Didn't we have a kid from Florida do something similar? In both cases, it seems that Todd Fitch is the common factor. Would be nice if BC reaches out to this kid since they know there is interest.

Take this for what its worth (since its from twitter, where he announced his "commitment") but he announced an offer from BC on June 24, 2016. Well after Fitch was gone (he was hired at LATech in Feb). Fitch may have been a primary recruiter prior to leaving, but someone else must have extended an offer that is currently within the program (unless he was completely lying and/or misinterpreted something the current staff told him). Idk either way about this, just connecting the dots

My guess is that Fitch is recruiting him for LaTech. My guess is that Thompson thinks Fitch works at BC. My guess is that Fitch didn't feel the need to immediately disavow. When Fitch offered, the kid jumped on it. I feel bad for him. There is no way Fitch didn't realize that the kid was only talking to him because he thought he was still at BC.

It's a good thing you were able to come up with this theory. I'm not sure any of the rest of us would have connected those dots.

Two Star athlete from Cheshire... just picked up an offer from Harbaugh to be a CB in Donnie Brown's system. Is he magically a good recruit now?

Gotta be Brown making the call with this right? Kid seems pretty excited about it on Twitter. He'll probably bolt, but I would've liked him in the fold. National recruiting by teams like Clemson, ND, OSU, and Michigan is hurting the Northeast for sure. Theoretically this should leave some talent in those schools' home turf up for us to grab. Hopefully we can pull some quality players in before signing day.

It was almost definitely Brown making the call on the kid from Newtown, CT as well (who BC probably gets otherwise), have to think its the same scenario here.

So is TOS predicting Sebastian will flip?

Sebastian should probably be careful as to what he is getting into. He was basically offered only because Harbaugh called around to what seems to be 4 committed players and told them they are not wanted. This is on the heels of counselling 11 such kids last January.

I'm assuming we won't hear anything on Sebastian untill Tarik Black decides. Sebastian may flip regardless, but if Black goes to UM, I would bet on Sebastian being all but gone

Agreed on Sebastian flipping if Black goes there. However, I wouldn;t be surprised if Sebdastian flips and then is counseled out if Black doesn't sign.

Not that it really matters after that shit show last week, but BC is apparently getting an official from Rutgers RB commit Jonathan Taylor (6'0/205lb). Taylor has offers from BC, Rugers, Wisconsin, VT. Will also visit Wisconsin per 247.

Also offered 2018 RB from BC High Danny Abraham (5'11/185) who is also getting interest from Stanford.

Gene Coleman from Milford Academy (originally from Bergen Catholic) is visiting this weekend. He was a '17 who committed to URI, but changed course and ended up the PG route. Not sure if he projects to WR or DB

I'm not entirely sure if anyone is even keeping track of this recruiting class. Well, we've entered the season of "all of our decent recruits are exploring other options due to new offers". Along those lines, Kwity Paye was offered by 3rd Down Donnie Brown a couple of weeks ago. He visited Michigan last weekend. Safe to say he was impressed.

"The visit went great. My stepfather and me flew out there and once we got there we went straight to the game. We had some time to speak with Coach Harbaugh and some of the other coaches. The atmosphere before and during the game was crazy."

"It kind of opened up my eyes a little bit. Growing up you kind of hear that kids from my region don’t go that far with sports. Being around those guys this weekend and knowing that I could ball with those guys means a lot to me. I just took all of it in and I just know that I have to continue to work hard to succeed at that next level."

"I was kind of skeptical about going to Michigan because it’s kind of far away from home but after going there the people treated me just like one of their own. I really felt like I was part of the family and that gave me a new perspective on things. I am definitely considering Michigan because it’s a great school. I know that I want to go to school where academics are a high priority. You can get a great education at Michigan and the football is great too. It has opened my eyes even more now and I’m strongly considering Michigan."

"My stepfather and me talked to Coach Brown a lot. He really believes in what I can bring to the table and that means a lot. He offered me and recruited me hard while he was at Boston College and for him to go to a place like Michigan and continue to recruit me means a lot. He knows that he could build me into a great player and help me succeed."

"The coaching staff at Boston College is kind of in a tough spot because if there’s another losing season there’s a possibility that the whole coaching staff could be gone. I want to be in an environment where the coaching staff is stable. It will come down to BC’s season I think. If BC doesn’t have a winning season and if the coaches get fired then I’ll have no choice to go somewhere else. Ann Arbor would definitely be the spot for me at that point."

"Notre Dame was there for a while too but they backed off after some time. There aren’t any other schools in the mix for me. It’s going to be either Boston College or Michigan."

I'm assuming the "entire coaching staff will be fired if they have a losing season" is coming from good ole Uncle Be A Dude. Hey... what's a little negative recruiting between friends? It would be like someone pointing out how those DC with mustaches have a history of playing players based upon who is a better "fit".

Apparently Rutgers had over two hundred recruits in attendance for yesterday's Michigan game. Brilliant recruiting strategy. Lol. At least we're not Rutgers.
