I think the above breakdown is very fair. I think you can argue putting Petrula and Sebastian in the top tier (might even move Levy down). I agree in re: to Muse and I also think you could make a case to move up Valdez, Addazio was fairly adamant about the fact that had he stayed healthy last year he would have gotten a lot more offers (and I tend to agree)

TOB was a great fit at BC, not so much at NC St, but State has never done any better than TOB's teams did. The mistake BC made was hiring Leahy who immediately froze all university funding for athletic facilities. It wasn't until TOB's 7th or 8th season that Yawkey opened. It will be interesting to see if the new IPF gives BC a boost in recruiting. If it does it might give them confidence to invest in stadium upgrades.

If the consensus is ~4 fliers and the rest are either good players or typical BC developmental players, that looks like a pretty good class to me. Certainly more in the TOB mold than the Spaz mold...

I have no idea why this particular post sparked the epiphany, but I've figured out Eaglekeeper's game. All along we thought he was some kind of deluded moron who actually believed the crap about stadium upgrades he was peddling, or alternatively a very dedicated and very unfunny troll. Neither is true.

Have you ever noticed how Eaglekeeper is constantly name dropping John Fish, Board of Trustees member and owner of Suffolk Construction? Kind of a weird individual to be constantly name-dropping, right? It's not terribly uncommon for small, unimportant people to reach for any star that makes them feel big. One might assume naturally that Eaglekeeper is a family friend of Fish, or some similar insignificant and tangential relation, and name dropping is a way to recreate that feeling he gets behind the wheel of his Dodge Stratus. But no! The connection is stronger and it makes all of his terrible posts finally make sense.

Eaglekeeper either is, works for, or has a financial stake in the success of John Fish. Eaglekeeper is running a guerilla campaign under the guise of a concerned fan to try to build grassroots support amongst the fan base for stadium upgrades ... because Eaglekeeper would line his own pockets when Suffolk Construction is inevitably chosen to do the job! It wasn't a particularly successful effort, Eaglekeeper, but I give you credit for trying. Please feel free to admit that all your blathering about recruits loving corners and fans turning up to watch a crappy team because the seats are nicer was disingenuous bull-plop.

Signing off cordially,
Inspector Funishment, Uncoverer of Truth

This class is fine in the Daz will continue to win between 6-8 games.

This class is not fine if you're aiming for 8-10 wins in a season. BC needs to find players with game changing ability to do this. Guys like Murphy, Alston, etc. are how you take this team to the next level and BC doesn't have that. The criminal mis-use of Jeff Smith also does not help.

The offense next year should be the Murphy offense with Smith touching it 10-15 times on sweeps and screens, Hilliman and Dillon pounding the ball in the middle and Sweeney/whatever god awful gigantic slow white WRs we are going down the seems. Brown runs the read-option and gets 10-15 keeps a game like Murphy did.

The above offense scores 25-30 a game.

TOB won an average of 8 games every year, had attendance over 40,000, very few off field player issues, sent his own kid to Xaverian, conducted himself with class and represented the values and culture of BC very well. He was not a terrific coach like TC, but BC has zero interest in building a top 15 program anyway, thus TOB was a perfect fit for BC. A billboard sign in the stadium of TOB with the caption "Miss Me Yet" would be appropriate!

Anybody that can't see the progression of new stadium construction and luxury upgrades to existing stadiums is living under a rock. BC needs revenue and with parking and DBS fees tapped out, they need lots of club seats to generate new revenue. I don't know Fish, but as CBOT I believe there is a rule or practice that companies owned by Trustees do not work for BC.

Addazio may hate the people on this board, and might hate the school eventually as well, but I do think when he took this job he was more excited about it than TOB was when he took it. You could argue Addazio might have felt lucky/happy to get it coming off a losing season, but regardless I think he thought more highly of BC than TOB ever did.

The same teams actually were a Top 15 team the minute that dickhead left to go suck in Raleigh.
