Since Addazio has basically put a fork in the 2016 class (all but for a few more flyers), may as well get this thing started for 2017. These are offers to date based on info from 247 and Rivals. Sorry for the poor formatting, I have this in excel and wasnt sure if there is a way to post an excel file into this forum or what other way to do it besides cutting/pasting.

Edit: Is there any scientific correlation between great names and athleticism?

EA reporting that Tarik Black will be at Maine game tomorrow. He's a 4* WR from CT and already has offers from Bama and a bunch of other factories.

He will commit on the spot once he sees the 12,000 fans and hears Buttercup live.

Not sure if he has an offer from us yet, but lots of interest from Kevin Mensah from MA.

Free article on TOS about Michael Silva (DB from Milton) stated that Blake Gallagher (and Austin Burton, who I doubt gets an offer) was in attendance for FSU game. Gallagher is a LB from St. Sebs who got BC offer early and has since added Nebraska (old Nebraska staff), Duke, Maryland, UNC, Northwestern, Pitt and UVA offers.

Silva is another guy to keep an eye on, no offers to date but interest from BC, MSU, PSU, Pitt, Purdue and UVA.

Freebie on Rivals (https://bostoncollege.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1806900) seems to indicate that BC is probably not going to land AJ Dillon. For whatever reason, it doesn't look like BC has shown more interest than other programs even though AJ plays right in our backyard. :screamyeagle

I don't know. The article doesn't really sound like we're out or not near the top to me. However, I still would be shocked if we land him. I'd say he's 60% chance to ND, 15% to Ped State, 15% to BC, and 10% to UVA. His grandfather played at ND and every article I've seen seems like he talks up the Domers more than anyone else. (yes, I realize his coach is Paul Zukauskas)

Didn't know his grandpappy played for ND. If that were me getting recruited, then I would want to play for my grandpa's alma mater too.

yep, especially since his grandpappy was an All American there and is being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Sounds like the old man is still connected to ND and wants his grandson to go there. If he gets a ND offer, I'd assume he's gone.

He can move ok tbh, not as well as some of the other guys Addazio has recruited, but decently.

Honestly, I think it's a moot point as I have a feeling BC will land Jon Lewis from St. Peter's Prep who really fits the mold of what Addazio is apparently looking for.

a guy that can hand the ball off on 1st and 2nd down and then get pummeled on 3rd when all 12,000 people in alumni stadium know he's going to pass?

CJ Holmes, RB from Cheshire Academy (CT) received Mississippi State offer today. BC is in very good shape with him and have been recruiting him for a while, wouldn't shock me if he was first to pull trigger for '17 class.

This would be a huge steal. This kids tape is awesome, it looks like he is shot out of a cannon every time he touches the ball.

The fence in New England for 2017's class has taken a huge hit. UVA is the leader for four star RB AJ Dillon. Schools without head coaches are beating out Daz for recruits. Really though, it sounds like a case where the kid loves the school and knows that coaches can leave at any second. F Daz anyhow.

That would be awesome as the recruiting coordinator.

He's not very good at the whole coaching thing.

1) this isn't going to happen (see original poster - corners etc.)
2) he is a good (or at least adequate) DL/LB coach

BC loves this type of kid lately, similar to Barlow he is big, fast, athletic and plays against a horrible level of competition.

Kam Moore, John Johnson (under Spaz), Gowins, Grice, Will Harris, etc.

Northern Virginia isn't a hot bed of college football nor is NY or CT. All these kids had the physical tools but there were a bunch of guys running around the field like them that looked like us.
