I can see why a team from Boston with no IPF that practices outside in December would have trouble playing a bad Vanderbilt team in 20 degree weather. They're used to playing in that kind of weather and we are not.

I seem to recall that game turning on Anderson's attempt to fair catch a punt with his shin.

That plus their rugby punter forcing the offense to start from the 5 pretty much every drive.

They were only 6-6, but that was a pretty decent Vandy team that happened to play in the NCAA's version of Thunderdome.
Is this the 5 o'clock free crack giveaway?

Can we please stop talking about old teams? I'm beginning to remember why I liked being an Eagles fan, and I don't want to get emotionally invested in watching a quarterback go 4-7 for 40 yards and an interception 12 times a year.
I like BC basketball.

The only reason a lot of people here don't consider Burton a "huge loss" is because many didn't think he was a "get." The kid moved to FL to generate interest and get bigger offers than BC. He probably only committed in the first place because BC gave him a now-or-never ultimatum. Can't lose what you never really had.

That would have made sense if he had committed to a school that offered after seeing him play in FL instead of a school that had offered him before he moved.

If you are going to do that, go all the way and say how long its been since BC football or BC men's hoop won a conference game. :shrug

Who's going to Ireland?

Postby DuchesneEast on Fri Sep 02, 2016 12:47 pm

SPP game was packed with BC guys.
Thoughts:
Petrulla looks good at left tackle, saw a few plays where he tossed guys around.
The DE going to ND was really good, good nose for ball and running all over the place.

New commit ... Josh Thompson, 5'11/175lb WR from Garland, TX. Just announced per twitter. Apparently held Maryland and PSU offers. I think Garland plays in 6A which is for larger schools so I'm assuming decent comp in his area (outside Dallas).

Here's a video that was just loaded today.

Looks like a real nice prospect. Good speed, great acceleration and quickness. Can't tell anything about his hands, but he seems to run some nice routes. No effing way he runs his listed 4.38. Maybe 4.58... MAYBE.

I think we should be recruiting more in Texas, California and Big Ten country. I don't really understand why we moved away from those areas. With Mich, MSU and OSU recruiting nationwide, it means they are passing on some top tier local talent. Talent that just a few years ago would have been a major target from them. Their inattention to local products has had a trickle-down effect on the directional MAC schools like Western and Central Michigan.
