I think if Wade falters along the way, Brendan N. has a very good chance to play a lot if he has the same qualities as Tyler Murphy. Hopefully Addazio will not go too conservative on obvious passing downs or when they need a first down to keep a drive alive. Hopefully the kicking will be better after last season's fiasco on FG and PATs. 7 wins is possible if we have a better kicking game that could give you a game or two.

W - Sep. 5 - Maine - Wade looks shaky but the defense dominates and Hilliman/Outlow/Willis all impress on the way to a sizeable victory. Troy the GOAT Flutie completes a down and out in garbage time that sends EO into absolute pandemonium.
W - Sep. 12 - Howard - A second blowout. Those left from the Spaz days do what they know best and make sure the African Americans regret their experience at Alumni (sorry, had to)
L - Sep. 18 - FSU - Defense plays well enough to keep us in it and the running game is strong but the offense just doesn't make enough plays to pull out the victories. The Howard/Maine scrimmages weren't enough preparation.
W - Sep. 26 - N. Illinois - Scary game a la CSU of last year but we don't f*** up in the end. Third down Donny Brown gets us off the field in the fourth quarter.
L - Oct. 3 - @ Duke - We just flat out lose. Some people on this board try to convince others that BC is harder to get into than Duke.
W - Oct. 10 - Wake Forest - Defense forces a bunch of turnovers in this one. Hilliman with 2 TDs.
L - Oct. 17 - @ Clemson - Gutsy performance falls just short.
L - Oct. 24 - @ Louisville - I think Wade plays well in this one but the loss shows we're still one year away from competing for the ACC.
W - Oct. 31 - VaTech - I feel pretty confident we upset them in this one. Perfect storm on Halloween night (hopefully)
W - Nov. 7 - NCST - One of the running backs breaks down their D ... again .... suck it TOB
L - Nov. 21 - @* Notre Dame - Sorry, but blowout.

I think Flutie is the backup and Smith will redshirt but if Wade gets injured or can't play, Smith is option #2.

2. Howard: BC 30- Howard 13. Sloppy game. Offense regresses. A few turnovers. Lot of action in Bc backfield as BC Oline looks shaky. One score game at halftime. Hilliman ends with about 170. (2-0)

3. FSU: This is the game if we find out whether BC's defense is for real. And for the day it is. Bc's offense struggles all day. Disastrous on third downs. Kicking issues resurface. Defense holds the line. BC wins 17-16. Huge win for the program. (3-0, 1-0)

3. N. ILL: WTF. this will be counted as a WTF loss because it comes after FSU and it is against an opponent from an inferior conference, however this game was always going to be difficult. NIU is good and well coached. They jump way out on BC and lead 20-3 at the half. BC makes a run, but it is not enough. 30-20 loss. (3-1, 1-0)

4. DUKE: BC responds with a very nice road victory here, and it is done on the feet of Wade. After a poor game against N. Ill, he scrambles for key first downs as Bc otherwise has a tough time moving the ball. BC holds Duke to mostly FG's and Bc scores late to win. BC 20- Duke 16. (4-1, 2-0)

5. WF: pound city. Everything works. Offense rolls, Wade looks great. Wake cant get BC off the field and Bc's D locks up WF's O. Game is never close. BC 34- Wake 10. The BC loyalists start getting some crazy thoughts on a 10- win season. (5-1, 3-0)

6. Clemson: Ugly loss. Both sides of ball. Clemson does what they want with an elite qb, and BC's offense gets intimidated and totally overwhelmed. A couple missed fg's and everybody is surly after a terrible showing. Clemson wins 31-10. (5-2, 3-1)

7. Louisville: See Clemson. this matchup will always be a problem for BC. Louisville's high end athletes make some big plays and BC's offense gets mauled again. Special teams again an issue. Louisville rolls 34-13. (5-3, 3-2)

8. VT: Turning point of season. Dazz gets the kids to regroup and they play exceptionally well defensively. Pass rush is dominant for BC. Hilliman breaks one big run and it is enough. BC wins 16-13. (6-3, 4-2)

9. NC ST: A high scoring affair. Bc's kicking woes are the difference as Nc St scores late to beat BC 34-31. Very difficult loss. NC State wins 9 games on the season. Wade plays very well. (6-4, 4-3)

10. ND: Dazz has these guys sky high like the USC game last year. Bc plays very well and this game is nip and tuck all the way. ND comes in ranked in the top 10. Bc lets a winnable game get away with some costly mistakes. ND wins 23-17. (6-5, 4-3)

11. Syr: Bc sucks in the dome. plain in simple. I think I have seen them play three good games there in my lifetime. Otherwise shitty qb's light BC up in this building. Typical BC v Syr game in the dome. close all the way, with BC mostly down a score. Bc takes the lead with 1:30 left. We look like we are heading for a repeat of our last game in the dome. Not today however. Simmons picks a pass off inside the 20 yard line and BC holds on 24-20. (7-5, 5-3)

Bc wins a bowl game against Texas to end the season. 8-5.
