Helps to explain why we are taking 3 WRs in this class.

Reading between the lines on Twitter, it looks like he quit the team because he wants to play basketball instead of football? I don't understand a lot of the slang and abbreviations the kids are using these days (other than M4T, of course, right TRE?).

Freshman Devon Jones not on the roster. Holy shit love the Oline class that Daz brought in this year these kids are already mammoths already. Borgerson and Zach Allen got my vote for freshman mvp's this season.

I thought 85 players was the maximum amount per team.
When did this increase to 95?

85 scholarships, not players. I'm assuming that includes walk ons

Ok, so apparently a maximum of 105 are allowed during the offseason; during the regular season, there is no limit.

Jones did sign an NLI right ? Wouldn't any academic issues (assuming that is the case) had been worked out prior to NLI day ? If he was waiting on a test score, I cant imagine they would accept his letter w/o a qualifying score, right ?

Half the SEC recruits sign LOIs without qualifying. Most recently Steven Daniels signed one and then spent a year in Worcester before resigning again the next year.

I suppose this fits here: ACC Media Days Official Preseason Poll Results:

ACC Championship Votes
Clemson - 84
Florida State - 41
Georgia Tech - 20
Virginia Tech - 7
North Carolina - 3
Miami - 2
NC State - 1

Atlantic Division (First place votes in parenthesis)
Clemson (101) – 1,032
Florida State (56) - 992
Louisville (1) - 746
NC State - 673
Boston College - 473
Syracuse - 291
Wake Forest - 217

Coastal Division (First place votes in parenthesis)
Georgia Tech (96) - 991
Virginia Tech (44) - 841
Miami (7) - 632
Duke (4) - 615
North Carolina (4) - 590
Pitt (3) - 535
Virginia - 220

ACC Player of the Year
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - 69
James Conner, RB, Pitt - 46
Justin Thomas, QB, Georgia Tech - 13
Jalen Ramsey, CB Florida State - 7
Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami -7
Marquise Williams, QB, North Carolina - 6
Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech - 6
Tyler Boyd, WR, Pitt – 3
Jacoby Brissett, QB, NC State - 1

Kind of what I expected, including the usual NCST preseason hype. By the way, how do they get one vote to win the ACC Championship but no votes to win the Atlantic. I think someone was having a little fun there. Also, a little surprised more people didn't pick Louisville in an upset in the Atlantic.

Troy Flutie totally disrespected in the POY voting...

Meh, I'm not sold on Kayaa and they lost Johnson & Dorsett to the League. But the Coastal is wide open, I suppose they could still take it. It's now or never for Golden, these are all his players.

Brissett is interesting. He was brutal against BC and maybe mostly because they dragged him around the field for a few hours, so I figured he was a mediocre qb at best. I just looked at his stats and he threw for 23 td's and 5 int's last year. Is he worthy of the hype?
