How are things shaping up for a decent field goal kicker next season?

As best as I can tell that's the case. Any stats with which we can evaluate him? Are we still looking? Last year was a disaster - worst PAT completion in the nation.

They got a walk on kicker. But it's still last year as far as school is concerned.

Not on the roster. Poster on TOS said he was invited back for a 5th but declined. Was really hoping we could redshirt Smith.

Didn't see it mentioned but Crimmens moved to TE, which combined with Gabe's move could mean Daz likes what he sees with the young WR's.

Why this took so long as have no idea. It's nice to see a coach who actually knows what's going on.

Didn't he essentially play as a TE last year?

From what I remember, he lined up more as a receiver. Those that lined up as TEs did so almost entirely in a blocking role (Addazio, Giacone). Darmstatter got that one catch against I dont remember who...but I think Crimmins lined up somewhere out wide.

"Crimmins to TE" is just code for "Crimmins is the new Bordner"

Exactly. He'll be running the seam route on play action and blocking for the most part. Hopefully, he isn't throwing any passes though.

agreed, and it's bullshit. if they don't want to have an open practice/scrimmage, they should just cancel it.

It sounds like the scrimmage was pretty rough for for the QBs, although helped by WRs not catching passes.

It sounded like Wade's interception hit Alston in the chest and was housed by Yiadom. I would think that even in a normal year (ie not breaking in 3 new QBs and having a new OC) the defense would be ahead of the offense anyway at this point.

At this point, I would say the most positive thing to take from the scrimmage was that Addazio is pleased that the OL has come along, despite the quantity of players/health. I think if some of the secondary can stay healthy and some of the younger guys progress (specifically at CB), the defense has the potential to be quite good this year.

Just saw what I assume will be the first of many at BCI:

"Darius Wade is a runner with some throwing abilty. Flutie is a passer who can also run."

There's some debate going on, obviously, because Flutie threw a TD and Wade threw an INT so we have a QB battle!

Any graduate QBs still available? Hegarty's scholarship slot is still available (that turned into a bidding contest!)

Daz not letting up. From the heights:

Addazio also used the event as a platform to campaign for an indoor facility, highlighting Saturday as a the perfect opportunity to make use of such. This is the second time this week he has appealed to the media, mentioning the need for a permanent indoor facility to help with recruiting and also for dire weather conditions.
