Of course it won't. What does RU do that ever works? This is hiring Gregory P. Barber as your RC. You are giving a booster official access which Miami and Michigan only do behind the scenes.

Some thoughts... the article downplays the importance of an RC. While it is true that there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff and logistics, the RC is way more important than the article leads on. Often, the RC is a contact through which every player has access. They are to stay on top of the coaches and make sure that they are appropriately covering their territory. At BC, Daz is the RC and he is up the ass of every coach to make sure that they are in constant contact. However, a booster is likely to suck at this as they will be overwhelmed at being with the cool kids on the staff and gossiping to his alumni buddies about recruits. Further, I think this ends badly and results in said booster no longer donating. Either he will be pissed that they canned his body Flood (Barber analogy) or he'll cause a problem and get canned.

On a side note, the person who was supposed to get the gig was Partridge from Paramus Catholic. He wound up at Michigan because RU rescinded their offer. Bottom line is that Partridge is a dick and a bunch of high school coaches and ADs supposedly lobbied Flood to reconsider (with the threat of not sending any talent RU's way... especially the Catholic schools whose hatred of him knows no bounds).
