insert your guesses/mo'j predictions here. not who you want but who you think it will be. trying to mix up our juju here by avoiding the "we're getting screwed if its anyone short of scott frost" false expectations

i'm in the camp of cheap and underwhelming. this will give us something to bitch about until august other than asshansen's wtf loss to angry dick

You laugh, but I'm going to give this another shot and see if maybe Leahy will decide not to eff up my juju this time.

My sources are saying that Logan is actually in the mix, and would love to come back.

Coaching is all about relationships. A Fitch promotion is the obvious, typical BC move. Outside of that, guys like Stan Drayton or John Hevesy would be options if they weren't at factories ranked in the Top 3 next year (not sure who from Daz's past would otherwise be an option). From a Brad Bates connection (ala Rogers), you have Aaron Kromer and Don Treadwell both readily available. From a BC alum perspective, you have PaulPete and Brian Flores. If BC was to go outside its network, I'd love for them to reach out to Kurt Roper.

I have no idea which way Daz will go. But, if I had to guess it would be Fitch. I think Daz is the de facto OC anyway and I think Daz would view this as a chance to bring in another young recruiter to replace Fitch as WR coach.

This is probably true, and half depressing, half exciting. More recruiting = good.

I think Daz will reach out to some of the Urban Meyer/Dan Mullen guys and find that they won't take a paycut just to call plays. I think we promote Fitch and backfill with a BC guy. My guess is Fitch OC/QB with Swepson as the new WR coach.

Would/could we poach VT???

Daz's first OC at Temple was Scot Loeffler (who he brought with him from Florida). He left Temple to become the OC at Auburn and left when Chizik was fired. He is currently Beamer's OC.

I have to assume that this would be Daz's first choice as a replacement. And, given Beamer's short horizon at VT, I'd think that Loeffler would at least give some consideration to rejoining Dazoo.

In addition to $, which I don't know about. Loeffler may be at a point where he has to worry about his millenialesque resume. He'd be 1 year at temple, 1 at Auburn, 1 at VaTech, would be 1 at BC.

Agree, but BC might give him a better opportunity to put some time in at one locale that VT will.

Not that it matters that much, but Loeffler has been at VT for 2 seasons. Next year would be his 3rd.

I have hated the look, production and more importantly the quarterback play from VT for about the last 10 years. not sure we want to be reaching there for our OC.

A BC connection is probably very low on Daz's priority list.

I'm having a hard time reconciling posts criticizing suggested candidates when literally anyone is better than Chris Crane.
