Bryn Mawr Eagle {l Wrote}:ATL suggests it's time to extend Daz. I'm generally on board with the idea, but here's my question: When a head coach gets an extension/raise, do the assistants typically negotiate/get one at the same time too, or is it all individualized?

First of all, if Dazoo took the Michigan job, that is the first call I hope Bates would make (of course we all know the reality would be a MAC dog-fight between Lembo and Campbell).
Second of all, I would be shocked if Pitt went in that direction since Schiano it would mean that they would be looking for their 6th coach in 6 years (as he would quickly be off to a bigger program). Given the turnstile in Western Pennsylvania, I think they would be smart to take a coach who will stay for more than a couple of years.
Eaglekeeper {l Wrote}:No way he got offered 8 million per year! If it's true I can see why the NCAA wants to cap salaries. How can you pay a coach that much money and not pay the players? Shit the fans should get paid because nobody wants to watch a football game on TV with an empty stadium in the background!
HJS {l Wrote}:Now that the Niners are out of the playoffs he is considering it. $8mm per is silly money for a college coach.

Especially one that started a guy that can't throw straight at QB in the NFL.

What else is he supposed to do with the highest paid player in the sport?

He should've sent him to Kansas City.

And he might've if he was the GM.

GM actually made a great call, once the QB was selected. Trading a backup QB for 5 excellent players was a sweet move.

I think you are arguing with yourself.

I'm not sure why I even watch on Saturdays anymore now that I know that we'll never be able to watch a Darrell Hazell coached team.

That's a lot of cheddar. I think Saban only makes $7m and Urban makes something like $4m.
