Harris Williams done for the year with the ankle fracture against UMass

I assume they'll apply for a 6th year

I have no idea what the chances are of getting it but it would be nice to have a returning starter next year. Assuming no fifth years, I think Jon Baker's one start would be the entirety of starts for next year's projected OL.

Biggest mistake in the CSU was no sweeps to Alston, I dont know why he didnt get touches in the backfield.

The announcers for the RCC game made multiple references to Alston's lack of touches vs CSU. Showed they were on their game ... or that they read the nexus.

On this note, I wish someone who knew a thing or two about coaching college football could confirm whether or not coaches actually hold back some of their playbook in certain games in order to not show certain things to future opponents. It definitely seemed like Daz/Day were doing this in the CSU game (non-conference home game vs non-power conference team), but part of me says this is bullshit, you just need to win each game and future opponents are not going to be shown things they haven't seen a million times already anyway. I would love to know the real reason why they never went to these plays vs CSU, especially later in the game when it was clear the game was going to be tight.

Also, just because they know what's coming, doesn't necessarily mean they can stop it. See, Murphy's last touchdown & Doeren, Dave.

P.S. Bold strategy by Doeren: "I've been wearing my shirt tucked in all day, better untuck it quick so I look cool on TV!"

I think if Clemson stacks the line, BC must have options whether out of the backfield to Allston or short passes to someone like Bordner or Phillips to loosen up the Clemson defense. I think Bordner is getting better and hope BC does not get overly conservative like we have seen on some situations especially since we have no kicking game to speak of. Please, no more wasted plays by running up the middle and be more imaginative.

Time management hopefully will be better too after what we have seen in this area at times.

Obvious without Watson BC must feel better and the timing could not be any better.

I'm headed down to the beach for my annual college guys golf trip weekend. Just stopped to fill up the moped and thought I'd check in. We plan on drowning our sorrows of our future loss to BC with lots of Ice Cole Stoudt after the game... only thing he's good for.

hasn't officially posted yet, but rumors are it will be somewhere around BC 24 - Clemson 18

that's with Clemson getting 3 TDs but missing all 3 XPs and any and all FGs attempted

does this assume we:
1) miss 4 extra points
b) hit a field goal
iii) go for 2 3 times and convert every time

because that's probably in descending probability

Will Dabo be lip synching this week? He seems pretty talented and not at all awkward.

You shouldn't worry about Cole Stoudt. Someone told me that he will look like Tom Brady on Saturday.

From teh Tigernet board...

Someone: I hope Nick Schussler is ready. Stoudt has a separated shoulder. One big hit away from Schussler time. I know he had a good spring.

Someone else: I would love to see what Schussler is capable of. I don't think he could do any worse. But, if and ONLY IF our Oline makes a good stand this weekend. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

For those travelling to the game, the Head of the Charles is this weekend, I would factor extra time for traffic and congestion coming from outside the city and would recommend it even if you live in Boston.

I'd also highly recommend planning some time to stop by the river to watch some of the races and take in the atmosphere.

Seconded. I'd also note, though most of the Saturday events are downtown and should not alter traffic patterns, that BCLS reunion weekend is this weekend.

As long as its not the FLS reunion, traffic shouldn't be affected.
