Exactly.. The class started out decent, but there is no reason to be taking these types of kids at this point. Over a third of the recruits in this class do not have any other Power 5 offers. That is simply pathetic and if Morais flips before signing day, the class is a disaster. For a guy who was known as a great recruiter at UF, Daz sure likes fighting the FCS teams of the Northeast for players.

Well, I was pissed about the back-to-back uninspiring commits but now that we've obtained retarded overreaction status I think I'll rest easy.

There is some cause for concern. The feeling after the first class or two was that they needed some quantity for the depth chart, and they were pulling some good recruits for that. We reassured ourselves of Daz's rep as a recruiter, expecting more quality to come later, so it's a bit concerning to see the quality actually slightly decline in year three.

Sorry for the confusion with the bletzers. Most interpreted it correctly. The bletzers did not charge many of the BC athletes for representing them which is well within their rights to do so. Clients and attorneys sign a representation/fee agreement. The attorney can agree to charge or waive his fee. Additionally if the client does not have the money to pay for an attorney one will be given to them from a list of court appointed attorneys within the court. The bletzers have long been on the court appointed list in Brighton. Client usually pays $150 or does about 10 hours of community service.

Ben Walls (6-0/195) DB/Safety from St. Josephs Prep in Philly tweeted that he received an official offer from BC yesterday. Had received verbal offers from BC, Syracuse (believe and official offer as well), Rutgers and Temple. Played RB in HS as well and some sights have him listed as a CB so unclear as to whether he is being recruited as a Safety or CB.

This would be perfect kind of "late addition" (late in relation to Addazios preferred recruiting schedule) to pursue as opposed to throwing away offers on local flyers who would still commit in December if need be. I imagine since BC extended an official offer yesterday, the Bletzer commitment (assuming he is being recruited as a DB/Safety) wont have an impact on Walls.

That is good news. The most disturbing thing about this class that in the middle of August there is not a single DB recruit. With 3 WR perhaps they plan on converting some to DB.

the roster lists 15 DBs, including 7 freshmen and 5 sophomores. Simmons is the only senior. i'd say its the deepest position, so my guess is they are going to redshirt most of the freshmen and are going to essentially count them as the DB commits for the incoming class.

There seems to be. Anthony Brown and KJ Gray both posted pictures of their "official offers" when they received them.

Could anyone read the article posted on TOS today ? Is Niang visiting today (his photo is on front page of TOS). I believe he visited Rutgers, Oregon and Miami in recent weeks, I wonder if he is getting closer to a decision ?

Niang is not visiting today, some 2017 DE from NY is.

There are 14 (including Seward) scholarship DBs on this team, 5 of which are true FRs.

Quick article from NJ about SPP scrimmage vs Depaul Catholic.

http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news/article/-3056467549061365812/5-takeaways-from-st-peters-preps-performance-at-depaul/?=hghght

1) Mentions KJ Gray and Kolton Huber who had camped/visited BC and could potentially see a late offer at DB or WR.

2) Talks about 2017 QB John Lewis who holds a BC offer and could very easily be the QB taken next recruiting cycle. I believe BC was his first offer (has since added Rutgers). Seems to be high on BC and works with NJ QB coach Madei Williams who is also Anthony Browns coach.

There's a members only post on 247 about a 4* safety visiting. Anyone know details? Is it for the '16 class or '17?

Syracuse just lost probably its best commitment in the last decade, Robert Washington, a RB from NC. He held BC offer however I doubt BC will be in consideration going forward (and it seems as tho he has a strange family situation that could be more trouble than it's worth).

Where BC could see something from this decommitment is with Moe Neal, another RB from NC who was close with Washington and had BC in his top 5.

Will be interesting to see how all this develops.

So... you are saying that the school is more dedicated to its football program.

While the kid isn't going to Cuse, it could get worse. He could be switching his commit to Notre Dame!

ND football program gets plenty of 4 star RB's. Losing 4 star players to ND or PSU is not a problem for BC. Losing 4 star recruits to SU and RU are big problems for BC. When SU was decent they were winning with players from MA & CT and NJ. Think Alston & Hilliman on SU team, not good for BC.

Washington is not going to ND. His academics are a mess and rumors are that could be part of the reason he split even with Syracuse (who have no standards). There was something else being floated about an issue with his position coach. I believe I read that he is not even playing high school football right now (and possibly this entire season) for one reason or another.

He's "between high schools" right now.

He was originally going to play at Mountain Island Charter, a brand new school in NC, but he didn't get in. Now he's trying to get eligible at a public school in the state, but his grades are a major issue.

It has been pointed out many times and rightly so on the basketball side that these crystal ball predictions are not representative of any sort of inside info, but given how well the crystal ball did in predicting Tucky's choice, I'm open to the possibility that this may actually be worth something.

274 just tweeted that Donald Stewart (6'4/190 3* WR) from Paramus Catholic is planning on visiting BC. Was thought to be headed to Michigan, then Stanford offered and became his leader. Kind of surprised he would still take a BC visit this late in the process as many thought Stanford was a lock.
