No to UConn. I'm perfectly happy with a rotation of other NE schools, which will expand if, as rumored (after this Yale/Army game), the rules will be changed so Patriot/Ivy League teams will count towards bowl eligibility. We can restart the Holy Cross rivalry for :whalepants . Maybe one year do a mini-Beanpot with Harvard.

What needs to end is the "special relationship" with the MAC. Travel costs may prohibit west of the Rockies, but what about USA (Dauphin St is a very, very, very poor man's Bourbon St), Memphis, Tulane, ECU, Houston, UTSA, Rice, etc. All of those locations may draw some fans and would expand name recognition for the school which needs a national reach because of shrinking talent in the Northeast.

I have no interest in playing a single team on that list. For instance I've heard Tulane, how does that help BC? We aren't going to start pulling top talent from LSU

Next person to mention Holy Cross is going in the room with the stadium expansionists. Albany beat Holy Cross 2 weeks ago. Of course, Albany would probably beat Maine, but that's beside the point.

No to UCONN. The Huskies and the Minutemen can go off every Thanksgiving weekend and hump each other and leave us out of it.

This is what I would find acceptable:

Opening weekend - at BC - FBS School (Rotate among URI, UNH, Maine, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Villanova, San Diego, etc)

Second week is against UMASS either at Foxboro or Alumni.

Third week against a National Power, home or away.

Then start of ACC schedule.

Sean Frazier is going to give Northern Illinois stadium a $138 Million extreme makeover.

Looks like a very dramatic rendering of a very mediocre stadium. Also, the rest of that campus looks like a total wasteland. Like some refugee settlement out of a apocalyptic zombie movie.

It's Illinois. Outside of Chicago, it's just an extension of the Ozarks.

PS Albany crapped on Maine by less than BC did.

Teddy,

I went to a number of Holy Cross games a few years back when Billy's older brother was playing.
That is where my CHU CHU RAH RAH comment comes from.

One thing they had that was cool as hell was a Family tailgating area right next to the stadium.
The had Grills, coolers, food & drink etc all set up and you just pitched in $$$ if you were coming to the game.
I beleive it was coordinated by the local players families. It was great for someone who has to fly in for games.

You could go in and out of the area anytime you wanted & could even watch the game from the section if you wanted. (it is the area with the picnic table)
After the game the team would join us for a post game meal and tailgate.

It was a blast and I wish BC did something similar but I am sure the locals would find some ordinance violation.
