I think this is the reason for the general "Ugh" reaction. There is no upside to this game and plenty of downside. You beat the nolukis and no one gives a crap (even though we will likely be home dogs against them next year). You lose to them, the sky is falling because you lost to a MAC school. Terrible game to schedule.

Their McDonald's was pretty nice and had good ice in the fountain machine. That and a liquor store had a sign up during the debates for the 2006 election that said "We support Dick and Bush" or something along those lines.

I don't like the return part of this trip. Not as bad as the fact that we scheduled a home and home with New Mexico State, but still wish BC threw around a bit of weight and didn't schedule the road game as part of these deals.

The all-downside aspect of this is understandable but I don't mind scheduling this tier of opponent too much (other than it taking away the opportunity for a more marquee OOC game, I guess)

If we need a bottom 1A team in our area to play for the "health of New England", let it be UMASS instead of conn. I thought this year was great, nice stadium, easy drive, own half of the field for fans and parking.

I'm also firmly in the NO to uconn camp. A bunch of them started popping up on twitter today saying how important a BC/uconn game is to New England, whatever that means. UConn fans will tell you that BC is irrelevant and in the same breath say that BC/UConn would be some huge draw, important game. It's just nonsense.

1. no point to playing uconn in football... much rather play UMASS in a de facto (7th or 8th) home game
2. OJ1969 Rkbrkr is easily the worst poster on this board
3. the fact the date for the return trip to No Illinois is not yet set leads me to believe it will a so-called "1 and 1" where the return trip never happens.
