Kuechly has been placed in the concussion protocol, but he hasn't been officially diagnosed, yet. I'm holding out hope that this turns out to be less serious than initially expected.

His family needs to have an intervention if he tries to play again. Pack it up before you doom yourself to being a 40 year old with dementia, or the next Junior Seau.

Matty has a good chance of being this year's MVP and is leading in a number of different network polls.

Not convinced that Ryan should run away with the award? The Falcons lead the league in points per game (33.5), yards per play (6.6) and big plays (115). They are one of three teams since 1991 to score on more than half of their drives. Ryan's average of 9.26 yards per attempt is the highest in history for any player with 400 or more pass attempts. He's on pace to become just the fourth quarterback ever to average 300 or more passing yards per game with a passer rating over 115. The other three members of that exclusive club (2013 Peyton Manning, 2011 Aaron Rodgers and 2007 Tom Brady) were all honored with the MVP award. While Ryan certainly benefits from the presence of physical marvel Julio Jones at receiver, his passer rating (122) and completion rate (74) are actually higher when he's targeting other receivers. By any fair measure, Ryan is the NFL's most valuable player of 2016.

That would be great. But the MVP trophy is a little ridiculous considering that arguably the best player ever, who has 4 SB rings, won the AFC 6 times, and the AFC East 14 times, has only won the MVP twice. Belichick was 5-13 with the Patriots before Brady took over. Nobody more valuable to the most successful organization over the last 15 years.

Jimmy G has tutored under Brady, the hardest worker on the team and all-time great, for the last couple of years. That makes a difference. And the Patriots squeaked by a crappy Arizona team and got shut-out by Buffalo.

They also went 11-5 with Matt Cassell. No one denies the importance of the organization, but Militant's point still stands, even if he undermines it with the ridiculous statement about Belichick's record.

what is his point? the most successful player on the most successful dynasty anyone south of their 40s has ever seen has only won 2 therefore he should win #3? or that he should've won more over the last 15 years?

if we're talking about value to a team, matt ryan was more valuable to his team this year than brady was to his

My point is that he should have more than 2 MVPs to his name. I'm not saying who should win for 2016. It would be nice if Matt Ryan won it.

Eh. Maybe. I'd give it to him.

Militant's point was the award is stupid, and has only gone to the MVP of the past 2 decades twice.

Brady has had an abundance of talent around him thanks to great player evaluations and then following through with excellent business moves (trades/signings etc.) regardless of emotional sentiment. Good drafting has helped as well.

Patriots front office consistently fields a top notch team that is never reliant on any one person or coach. I know this conspires against the Brady/Belichick is god agenda but it's true.

It would be nice to be able to have a discussion about BC players in the NFL without Massholes devolving it into some sort of bizarre Patsy-centric pissing match.

"Yeah... Matty Ice was OK in college but I don't think he's good enough to hand Brady water on the sideline. Isn't that right, Sully."

The good news is that there are plenty of Dallas fans who already are convinced that Dak Prescott is better than Brady. So, the rest of the NFL won't have to worry about their being a dickbag vacuum when Brady retires and Pats fans slip back into mediocrity.

What we should be talking about is how all these quarterbacks in the Big Ten suddenly turned into Matt Ryan this year. And now Deondre Francois looks like him!

As much as I like him, I'd take 4 or 5 other QBs to lead my team before Ryan but I'd take Atlanta's offensive talent over that of any other team's this season.

Maybe one of these years the organization will give him a talented defense and they'll actually make a run at a SB.

Matt Ryan's good, but anybody QB would look good with that offense. Tom Savage single-handedly saved Houston's season and "genius" Masshole Bill O'Brien's job.

Matty Ice looked outstanding yesterday. That was perhaps the best I've ever seen him. I don't care how good Dallas and Green Bay are. If Matt plays as well next Sunday as he did yesterday, he is playing in the Superbowl.
