No one knows how Flutie will turn out. The odds are against him (and most other quarterbacks who are not in the top 20 or so highest rated) becoming a really good D1 QB. (even for the highly rated ones it is still only a 50/50 shot)

Flutie's performance so far has nothing to do with this. What I think Walsh saw is that the coaching staff is, and always has been, high on Flutie as a QB. They may be right, they may be wrong. But their perception is Walsh's real problem

So when he sees that it's not only Wade - now it's Flutie too -who is presumed by the coaching staff to be better than him - he realizes it's unlikely he ever will play QB at BC and decides he needs to take his talents elsewhere

TRE, redshirt this guy please.

Seconded.

Nothing makes this board go full retard faster than Troy Flutie talk.

You're a funny guy TW. You're a lawyer who's really weak in any debate or argument that doesn't fit your preconception.

It's like you are incapable of absorbing information and modifying your position.

Is there a time vortex over Japan right now, or is the sushi particularly mercurial?

Daniels will be moving to middle linebacker. Probably will get close to 100 tackles this year.

Bordner apparently has been working out at QB again. Still think he'll get on the field at WR, but this would seem to confirm my theory that the staff wants to redshirt Wade and will use Bordner at QB in garbage time situations (if Murphy gets hurt, gotta think Wade would still be the next guy up).

Don't think so. Wade had a minor hamstring issue. Supposed to be back next week.

That means the redshirt must be officially declared!

Think the offensive might be more explosive this year if Murphy can run an effective QB pitch with Willis, any passing effectiveness will be a bonus (and surprise)

Anything happens with the Murph then the choice is a true frosh or Bordner's Mildcat, not an appetizing choice. A running QB will need some breathers and get some dings.

Except for LB the defense is pretty much a jump ball but they don't have a difficult act to follow
