Ideal Conference

Postby BCMurt09 on Mon Mar 24, 2014 2:00 pm

My buddy and I (who posts here) were discussing yesterday who would be in our ideal conference. All other things being equal and you can pick whoever you want, what would be your ideal conference?

The Big Atlantic

Boston College
Duke
Georgetown (all non-football)
Maryland
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Penn State
Pittsburgh
Providence (all non-football)
St. John's (all non-football)
Syracuse
Villanova (all non-football)
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Wake Forest
West Virginia

Obviously a hybrid of the Big East and ACC with the majority of the Catholic schools, similar schools geographically and academically.

I think it would depend on who the new couch is going to be.

Regardless, my ideal conference would not have basketball only school in it.

Agreed, that is an awful football conference and I care more about football than basketball.

also avoid Ivy League couches. they look good on paper, but some of them have a whistling problem.
