I have dibs on doing the Charles S. Dutton style 'clap of pride' after 74 levels an NCSU linebacker clearing the way for the winning score. That play will be taking place midway through the 1st quarter if my assessment of Deep Sea and Tobias' offensive scheme is on target.

I remember when I was in school a kid that lived on my hall Freshman year went to try out for the Hockey team. They also had open tryouts. I bet they do this every year. In fact I bet it happens at most schools. I know a kid who tryed out for the Penn State team. He actually made the practice squad but quit soon after.

I am asking BC for a new helmet like Shinskie's and getting rid of my old leather one with no facemask.

Maybe I get the in motion sideline toss from the 3 and score a TD. Rumblin'..stumblin. kerplunk..

I believe that there is an ncaa rule requiring you to hold an open tryout every year.

No he actually had nothing but nice things to say. He just didn't see the point of investing all that time. He said JoePa very involved in practices. That was 8-10 years ago so who knows by now.

When i worked for the team it was basically a call/email whomever would be your position coach and they would have you come in at lunch or before a practice. Most kids don't survive to be invited to tryout at a real practice. This is just to put more bodies on the practice squad though really...

I noticed that J. Christopher posted something very similar on the pay board of TOS2 about 90 minutes after this post. Odd.

What a shock, the head coach was involved with practice. I never would have imagined that.
