Either SU has a sick defense or Duke's offense is awful. If you had Duke and gave the 3.5 points to the home team a win is a win. :ace

Told you last week Notre Dame was very bad.

They just had one of the softest schedule's in the nation. Propped up by playing a ridiculously overrated Stanford team at the start of the year.

We would smoke them.

One thing impressive about Sabin, I am sure his players as just as dumb as LSU, but he manages to get them to play much smarter.

I still maintain there should be a limit of 1 team per conference in a 4 team playoff.
If they expand to 8 teams, then more than 1 team would be ok.

If you can't win your conference, and there are 5 power conferences, then you don't belong in a 4 team playoff to be national champion.

CONFIRMED!

When we had Jags I recall mocking Whipple and his career. In retrospect, I was wrong on a number of fronts. Given what we subsequently saw from GDF, Whipple had good instincts as to Gene's meddling and was right to walk when hiring Spaz became a condition of employment. Further, I think he would have done a very good job here. I don't necessarily think that Whipple would have been the best we could've done as a replacement for TOB, but he would have been a solid long-term choice. Hat tip to Captain Coop.

Hansen would be wrong if the playoff participants were determined by which teams are actually the best and selection didn't have so many other interests impacting it, but that is not how it works so Hansen is not wrong (likely by mistake).

hansen will always be wrong because the 4 best teams will not always be the best team from each of the 4 best conferences. to deny that two (or more) best teams could be from the same conference is just as flawed as any other method.
