The Big10 shit the bed yesterday, the only thing that could have been better is if Nebraska also lost. I would love to see no teams in the playoff.

The Big10 has been garbage for many years. 8-29 against ranked teams from the Big5 conferences since 1988. They have had good leadership which combined academic research with a cable TV network to make them an economic powerhouse. However, their on-field product hasn't seen any tangible benefit from that money.

All that said, the media's memory is as short term as Barry O's. They are killing the B10 now. But whoever is best at feasting on the carcass's conference schedule will undoubtedly be back in the Top 6 in the AP.

He is excited about Watson....he's the real deal. The Clemson D is looking better and better, too. Thankfully, we have them at home this year.

ND final play against Stanford was a lot like BC's last play vs. CSU.

Stanford went with only 3 rushers on 4th down and dropped 8. They had five short guys and 3 deep. But all 3 deep defenders got drawn to the same side of the field which left the receiver wide open on the other side for the TD catch.

Not sure if the exact same thing happened defensively in the BC game, as I didn't see replays which showed it, but the player was similarly open in the deep corner.

There are arguments for and against putting more pressure on the QB in that situation vs. defending downfield, but no matter what the call the players have to execute properly. If they drop 8, the 8 have to cover the whole width of the field.

Wow, epic collapse by USC.

Speaking of collapses, apparently Umass choked away a 41-14 lead, lost by a point (missed XP earlier) and then got down to the goal line and didn't kick the FG and ran out of time. Not sure how anyone could argue they shouldn't disband that program or go back to the FCS.

BC has always depended on joisey recruiting, you're kidding yourself if you think Rutgirls success in the BIG won't sway any potential recruits. If you look at the number of NFL draftees from Rutgers vs BC over the years you can see the tide has already turned
