It's doubly funny because those same whalepants are now the most vocally insistent that BC not "disgrace itself" by hiring Bruce Pearl

It's not really that surprising when you remember that Bruce is Jewish.

@Tony26Montana: Gonna be a good 5-7 days of ridicule from the guys... At least @68INCOGNITO isn't a Pirate.

Just as Jags turned to JB3 to clean up Turner's mess, the Dolphins have called upon his services. Good for him. Other than the program and every BC fan, Bick was the guy most screwed over by GDF hiring Spaz.

HJS {l Wrote}:Gee... I wonder what crazy-ass Dolphins coach would tell Incognito to have Martin to toughen him up? I mean... it couldn't be the OLine Coach who embarassed the OLine by screaming at them and making them do up-downs in front of fans who attended the Jay McGillis Spring Game... could it?

I find it funny that half of the whalepants posters on EA lobbied hard for Jim Turner to replace Spazoo.

Looks like Jim Turner is about to get a new job as OLine coach.

It looks like Turner is suing Ted Wells for defamation.

"Turner's attorney, Peter Ginsberg, believes that Wells and Weiss failed to include significant testimony from former and current Dolphins coaches and players in the report, opting instead to blame the events on, among others, Turner.

Ginsberg also believes that Turner was falsely accused of helping create an atmosphere that allowed bullying and harassment to happen and, even though Wells knew the accusations were not true, he included them in the report anyway, damaging Turner's reputation and inflicting emotional distress, pain and suffering."

According to the report Wells would not be hurt by any unfavorable judgment as he has malpractice insurance and an indemnification contract with the NFL.

It is tough to prove defamation, but the insurance company will probably try and settle.

Seems like next-head-coach-Jim-Turner has landed on his feet in the SEC... further building an already impressive resume.

Does Turner post here? I think something like this would definitely occur if the EO coaching staff were actually in charge of things.

Honestly Turner would probably fit right in on this board.

Why was he fired from BC? Did someone get the wrong kind of blow up doll in their gift bag?

Basically, he wasn't smart enough to understand the zone-blocking scheme that Jags was implementing. After a live scrimmage for the Gridiron Club (one in which our OLine looked an awful lot like the terribleness we saw last year), an embarrassed Turner exploded on the players and made the OL stay after and do up-downs to the point of puking. Meanwhile the rest of the team signed autographs and showered for EA members. Jags (always a player's coach) fired him the next day. That firing of Turner showed an amazing willingness of Jags to admit a mistake. The subsequent hiring of JB3 was a brilliant move that sent them to back2back championships.
