Sooner or later Daz will break through and land a top recruit beating out PSU, ND and other top programs. Let's hope Wilkins is the first. PSU is in a tailspin, Hackensack is regressing and the fans don't like the new coach.

Some projections have us playing them in the Pinstripe Bowl which would be great, mainly for the pregame invasions

BC vs Rutgers would probably induce the most hatred of any bowl game. RU fans still have a chip on their shoulder even after joining the Big10. (I think knowing you were introduced to be a door mat has a lot to do with it.)

He sort of already has. Landry, Outlow, and Hilliman all had elite offer sheets. I agree the excitement around Franklin seems to have been pulled back lately with the flip of Wimbush, but he still has a top 15 class in his first year.

there are really only 3 potential bowl opponents that will bring full emotion to the filed for BC. they are:

Rutgers
UConn
ND

Rutgers and UConn fit into the same category, as they both have a huge chip on their shoulders with regard to BC. Both of those teams would be sky high to face BC. Now UConn is light years away from having a season in which they qualify for a bowl game. However Rutgers is going to make a bowl game by finishing 6-6. their two best victories, seriously are going to be over a 3-6 Indiana team and a 3-7 Washington St team. They are playing in the Big Ten which is having it's worst season in about 20 years. they are going to close the season by going 1-5 in their final 6. They did go to the Pinstripe last year, so it's possible that the Big 10 sends them elsewhere. Shame on Bc if they match up with Rutgers and lose to them.

I could give a flying rats' ass about the first two, and 3 is basically a wash. Much rather play LSU in Memphis.

if youre referring to the players i think you very much overestimate how much they care about (relatively) local teams.

I'm much more likely to go to Memphis than that shitty bowl in a shitty stadium in shitty weather.

the reality is most bc fans arent likely to go to either. but more will go to a game thats driveable than one you have to fly to

Agreed - there was a strong BC contingent at the UMass opener this year for the same reason. I realize there are many differences between games in August and December but I think Pinstripe could have a good showing.

but if it's driveable they can just as easily decide not to drive when the themometer says it's less than 50 degrees out.

for me its two hours shorter by car to nashville.

i will not be in attendance in either location because i don't even like sports

We know you don't like sports. Your brothers feelings toward you are often referred to. The important question is - do you like your brothers?

The last time BC played in the Music City Bowl, it was 40 degrees and windy. It could not have been much worse in the Bronx.

Muschamp is out at Florida after this year, according to ESPN. Any chance we can flip some recruits we previously expressed interest in?

George Brown, Jr. - OL, Cincinnati - http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/172365/george-brown-jr

Kalif Jackson - WR, Florida - http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/181789/kalif-jackson

And offered by Washington State and UCLA today. I always got the impression he was waiting for a big west coast offer, so UCLA coming in may be it for Samuel.

Apparently he was #3 on our DT board behind Christian Wilkins and Aaron Crawford and we only have room for one. Of course, it's questionable at best whether we land either of the guys ahead of him.

It looks like Wilkins has set a visit to PSU in the coming weeks (maybe this weekend cant read subscription site). PSU just lost Adam McClean (4* DT from Maryland) so will probably put the squeeze on Wilkins whenever he visits.

Yeah, um, I've been here in Nashville yesterday and today. It never got over 30 degrees yesterday and the wind chill had it feeling around 10, so . . .

At least today it got into the 40's. Irregardless, the mere chance that it could be this cold in November makes NYC in December a much more preferable venue than Nashville, unless your deal is just to ogle Vandy girls.

For the record, just happy to even complain about venues. :spaz3
