He has offers from Utah and Hawaii so far I believe, plays at Bishop Gorman in Vegas which has one of the better high school athletic programs in the country. Read an interview with his father saying that playing at a Catholic school is going to be a big deal for his son. When UFC was in Boston I think they all stopped by practice too (Lorenzo Fertitta and maybe Dana White as well). Would be nice to get some of that UFC money behind the program.

He seems high on BC and he's already visited this year. His brother also plays at Villanova, so the importance of a Catholic school seems right.

One thing I'll mention... given the kid's family and financial background, whoever offers him needs to be certain that the kid is grounded. Sometimes, someone like that can be a problem in the lockerroom if he is too full of himself. I harken back to one of the Simms kids (I think it was Chris) who showed up on his first day on campus in a stretch limo.

I thought that was Jimmy Clauthen.

Either way, I don't disagree but the fact that they seem to be heavily focused on Catholic education (to the extent that the brother went across the country to play at Villanova) is a good sign in that regard. And I'm sure Addazio has friends on the Villanova staff who can give him another perspective on the family.

Can't wait to see what Addazio can do after a winning season with tons of improvement, a Heisman finalist and some positiveness following the program around rather than the black cloud that Spazoo created.

Should be fun.

I don't think BC has offered a Worcester County kid in consecutive years since 04 and 05 (Brace and McGillicuddy that went to Stanford). It's nice to see D1 talent come from other parts of the state.

A guy from the New Haven Register is reporting it. Palazzolo already had CT and Pitt offers in addition to BC.

ESPN Insider suggests OL:

"STRENGTHS: Displays a very tall, athletic build. Has good size and looks to be able to support more bulk. Possesses a quick first step to work into the line of scrimmage. Can redirect and flashes a burst down the line. Can shed and locate football. ... AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Pad level is high and can allow blocker to get underneath pads. Does not always roll hips through contact but has strong hands to drag down. ... BOTTOM LINE: Palazzolo is an athletic big man who will most likely end up on the offensive side of the ball at tackle. Moves well on his feet and had long arms with quick footwork."

Looking at HUDL video I like what I see on the OL. Has Patchan like qualities. Of course, he's playing against kids who are half his size. On the other hand, if they put him on the D line he could be the next Raji and just eat up anything that comes out of the backfield. I've got to think OLine, however, based on the premium the Daz will be putting on that position.

The Bonetardz were predicting Palazzolo or Wilkins as their "first big 2015 recruit", whooops. Will be interesting to see how he develops in college. As has been discussed here, kind of weird for him to have a 4* ranking so early in the process, especially considering the HS football in our parts makes Massachusetts look like Florida.

Strikes me as a kid we're going to have to fend off the Nebraska/Miami type of school. If you're 6'6" 300 pounds and can move, there will be plenty of suitors.

Wilkins I have no clue. 24 has said he is wide open with alot of options. BC was in on Clark early and hes local (Avon Old Farms and originally from NJ I think). I vaguely remember reading he is a BC legacy as well, although early on in his recruiting process he favored Syracuse for some reason.

he won't leave. he went to my alma mater, which is basically bc at a high school level. its also an enormous bc feeder school (jesuit hs in fairfield county). wouldn't shock me at all if he had multiple relatives who went to bc as well.

oh, and no kid is a right "fit" for uconn or the pitt's of the world from my high school. so I'm not worried about them.
