Wilkins nearing decision
Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins stays away from the media and putting too much out there about his recruitment. He doesn't like the added attention and tries to just go about his business quietly.
His recruitment is starting to wind down now as we get close to signing day, and Wilkins is finished with his visits. He has already seen Stanford, Clemson, Penn State, Boston College and Ohio State.
"It's pretty much those five for my decision because they all have things I like. I'm definitely going to have to finalize my evaluation of them and figure out a decision in the next few weeks here," he said. "I'm just going to enjoy my time here first then think about the decision afterward."
Wilkins says his decision could come in the next week depending on how he feels, but could carry on into the week after that if he can't decide.
Playing in the Under Armour All-America game has given Wilkins the opportunity to be around some of the players committed to his top schools and those players have taken advantage of being with him in person.
"Ray Ray McCloud at Clemson and Sterling Jenkins for Penn State, they have been on me trying to recruit me," he said. "I'm just going to go with my gut and how I felt when I was there. Where I can grow intellectually and on the field."
