Is he a BC legacy?

Apparently he really enjoys the recruiting process, which certainly doesn't bode well

I believe they also offered Austrian Robinson from Trinity Pawling fairly recently (these offers could be coming regardless of Wilkins situation as I believe they had a DL decommitment within last few weeks).

They must be hoping he's not on the same "conditioning plan" as the last D1 DT to come out of Pawling

Chris Clark, 4 star TE from Avon Old Farms decommitted from Michigan. Not that we have a shot with him, but he is a New Englander.

He originally commited there for some reason. I think he is close to Tommy Hatton from SJP in NJ who is commited to Carolina.

That is pretty huge considering he wasn't planning on taking an official to BC.

I heard that they did this last December as well, and by the end of the weekend Hilliman had flipped to BC. (Though that was also the weekend of the Heisman Trophy presentation, and it does help quite a bit if you're a highly rated RB and you see the starting RB at a school of your choice all over ESPN for being a Heisman finalist!)

There's really no reason for him to take an official considering how close he is to campus unless he is seriously considering BC.

No doubt he would be a game changer recruiting wise.

There's nothing concrete but I feel like there's some momentum that he may actually pick BC. Rivals has had a few articles recently mentioning BC as a dark horse and PSU has just offered two DTs recently. Also this official was somewhat unexpected and as mentioned, he's going when 11 other commits are there. Hopefully it comes together like it did with Hilliman.

Guys on the team need to get some booze, some team hoes, and make sure he enjoys himself. :shrug
Landing Wilkins would totally change my outlook on this recruiting class.. All it lacks is a headliner.

Agreed, this would give a solid class a headliner at a position of immediate need.

Lets see if the Dazzler can close. Wilkins has visited PED St, Stanford, Clempsun and is scheduled to visit 0.0hio St the weekend after us.

Somewhat tangential to the discussion, but DT for next year (Wujciak, Gutapfel, Abdesmad) actually looks to be along with RB our strongest position. Add in Kavalec, Landry, and Moore and the D Line as a whole looks quite good. Funny how that happened.

Wilkins immediately is part of what would be a 3-man rotation at the 2 DT positions. Pairing him with Landry would create a deadly combo.

On an aside, I'd just like to acknowledge that Wujciak and Gutapfel were excellent this season. With them, Landry and Mehdi returning, the DL could be a strength with the addition of Wilkins. Heck, Wilkins with Ray Smith and Wyatt Ray would constitute the greatest DL recruiting class BC has had since Hinds/Crosson.

Mehdi and Wujciak are done after next season. It's definitely a position of need.

We're crazy thin at that position which makes it a need. The current guys have played very well.

Both Mehdi and Wujciak should be back for 2015. Mehdi is getting a medical hardship waiver and Wujciak redshirted. :banana

Exactly... that's while they will be done after NEXT season. However, we are very unproven after that. All depth is limited to what we got last year. And, outside of Noa Merritt none of them is over 260.
