The Wounded Warrior Project uniforms were a huge hit. Boston College received plenty of positive attention on uniform websites and the players loved them. The special uniforms received great reviews and recruits are still talking about them. When will Boston College break out its next uniform and what do you think it should be?

Options I've heard discussed
1. All Black (with Gold and Maroon Trim)
2. SuperFan Yellow (terribly hideous but maybe they could make something work)
3. Let Under Armour do what they want with the gold and maroon and see what they spit out

We've got rid of the italics (a.k.a. the slanty number). Reebok's been gone for many years. The regime that ushered the logo is now an old memory. Maybe 2013 is the year we should finally refresh the BC logo. I don't mind the eagle above. I also can live with the spacing and the gold/white trim. I just want to get rid of the slant. Or we can go with something completely new. I just think now is the time to get moving on the new look. Make all the relevant decisions in the next few months and then roll it out in September with the new school year! It will be the fresh start many of our teams need.

I bring this up every Summer and you old farts hate it because of "tradition". Tradition doesn't mean anything anymore when it comes to uniforms.

I actually like the uniforms now but dont understand why UA would produce something thats so plain.

From a pure marketing standpoint, its really just a maroon tshirt with numbers. At least put a logo on the bottom of the neck or something on the sleeves. I was a huge fan of the uniforms that BC went to when Jags was here. I also always liked the idea of trying to associate the school closer to the state of Massachusetts, maybe incorporating something on the uniform (like Tennessee is doing this year ...)

Good idea. I nominate the Mass Pike pilgrim hat for our new helmet logo.

I'm thinking of something full body and furry...with an attachment you can really hold on to.

These would be badass. Recruits love them because they can show off muscle definition and patriotism.

Yes... we should refresh the logo.
Yes... we should refresh our piece of shit small time unis.
Yes... we should go with a more classic look (and allow UA to put it us in some clown outfit for the Millenials who thinks it hip).
Yes... we should leave UA as soon as we possibly can (let's not forget that Plank led the charge to get into the B10, partly because it would help his company).
Yes... when we leave UA it should be for either Nike or Addidas.

As for my suggestions, I always have thought this unis is the one that has the look I most associate with BC (though it really is more a retro-compilation of a few unis).


However, as I've posted before, I like teddy's suggestion and, if we were starting from scratch, I would steal the retro unis worn by the Redskins last year.

We should all design our own uniform concepts and post them here like the Uni Watch blog.

The team should dress like The Humungus and his henchmen . They'll look so scary!

When the academies do it, fine (though they dont need to, the name on the front of the jersey speaks loud and clear about their values ). Everyone else, no.

Here's another idea you guys will hate that I just read about: Color coordinating the crowd (Wisconsin fans wearing all red, Penn State White Out, Ect.. But I know you guys don't like to be bossed around). Didn't BC try to do a "Gold Rush" against FSU once? I think when College GameDay came to town and Herz announced he was cancer free

The gold rush campaign appeared to be more about selling more gear in a new shade of puke gold. Not to mention the first two games they promoted all the fans wear it were against UCF and GT - opponents with dominant gold in their colors. Brilliant effort all around from a brilliant general.

I wish the Superfan shirts were actually gold. That would be a good start.

At least the quality of replica jerseys they sell in the bookstore has improved.

Boy I gotta say, I'm glad BC is one of the few schools who doesn't change their uniform each year and keeps things rather simple.
