You’re a bad alias.

You predicted it.

And you dismissed it.

The author of this alias messaged me and then withdrew it before I could read it, but it can only be one of 2-3 people.

not much in the report re racism / wuflu but this made me chuckle:

Several staff members made allegations that imply Head Coach Addazio has fostered an environment that perpetuates racial stereotypes or is unsympathetic to the national dialogue regarding racial justice and equity. One staff member reported hearing him make racially insensitive comments. For example, during a staff meeting discussion after the murder of George Floyd, he recalled Head Coach Addazio stating, “It wasn’t that big of a deal because people treated Italians like this in the 60’s and 70’s.” A second staff member reported feeling offended during a staff meeting when the need for a team rule prohibiting weapons was discussed. In her view, the coaching staff was making stereotyped assumptions that the players, the majority of whom are Black, possessed weapons.

Head Coach Addazio denied equating the murder of George Floyd or the treatment of African Americans to the experience of Italian Americans. He recalled sharing a personal story about the experiences of his family as Italian immigrants. During this story, Head Coach Addazio shared with staff members that, based on his family’s experience as immigrants, he does not tolerate any form of racial harassment or discrimination.

One coach stated that Head Coach Addazio declared in a staff meeting that he was going to berate the student-athlete and then bragged about doing so afterwards.

We could have done a lot worse than Addazio.

he did a good job rebuilding the dumpster fire that the guy who was too busy watching Hingham High LL games left us with. BC kept him around one year too long... after the 2018 season, it was clear to everybody that he had peaked.

just because you're "ever to bottom" doesn't mean the rest of us are, hansen.

Partially agree with hansen and partially agree with tre.

Addazio's rebuild after the 2012 Spaz dumpster fire was much-much quicker than Toby's rebuild after a potentially worse 1996 betting scandal ridden dumpster fire. It took 3 years for Toby to turn the corner (with his much better recruits) whereas Daz got it done immediately, with Spaz's recruits.

Problem is, Daz's rookie season (or maybe even the 2014 season) were Addazio's high water marks. He came out of the gates with Spaz's recruits and his 5th year grad student transfers and that was as good as it ever got. He never improved, ever. Now, if you are Toby and 9-3 is as good as it gets (never to improve) that is okay with the whalepants, the BOT, and Leahy. They would keep you forever with that kind of ACC Atlantic record (even if it made everyone here at EO unhappy enough to create the FireTOB.com.) But 7-5 or even 6-6 and never improve, Daz should have been gone after the 2016 season at least. 2 ACC wins with 4 years of his recruits is horseshit.

The rebuild was quick. Very fast. Thank you Daz for your speed. Now, GTFOOH and never come back.

hilarious:

The two unsportsmanlike penalties leading to an ejection rule went into place in 2016. Addazio is the second coach to be ejected for it, following Scot Loeffler of Bowling Green earlier this season.
